📢Appreciation Post📢

🔥 A massive thank you to one of our Scout parents, Ray, for creating four incredible BBQs from old kegs (donated by another parent😊). They look absolutely amazing and were put to great use at our end-of-year BBQ. We know they'll be a feature of many more camps and Scout events in the future!

🌳 Thank you to Michael from K.C. Tree & Hedge Services for donating a huge amount of bark. It will be perfect for our pathways and wildlife area, helping us continue to improve the site for our Scouts and the local wildlife.

🪑 We would also like to thank Sharon from St. Peter's School, for the shed, chairs, tables, shelving, flag pole and lots of other useful items. These will all have a fantastic new home at Terra Nova and will really benefit our Scouts.

Its a slow process but we're getting there 💪

Yesterday we finished another great Scouting year with our end-of-year BBQ, some games, our annual Swim Up ceremony, and of course a water fight that the leaders definitely came out the worst of!

The Swim Up ceremony marks the move from one section to the next as our young people continue their Scouting journey.
Most importantly, the scouts enjoyed time together, made memories, and soaked up the sunshine. They even had a visit from a very kind ice cream man, who we would highly recommend!

Weekly meetings are now finished until September, but many of our leaders and their families will spend the summer continuing work on Terra Nova. If anyone in the community would like to lend a hand, you'd be very welcome.

As we head into summer, we'd like to thank all our leaders and volunteers for everything they have given this year. Your time and support make Scouting possible.
We are also looking for new leaders and volunteers. As demand grows, the number of young people we can accommodate will depend on the number of adult volunteers available. No Scouting experience is needed—just a willingness to help young people enjoy all that Scouting has to offer.

We look forward to welcoming everyone back in September. Hopefully the weather will be just as good and Terra Nova will be looking even better.

💚💛 CLUB CLEAN-UP – WE NEED YOUR HELP 💚💛

As part of our preparations for the Alan Mahon Community Event, we will be holding our annual club clean-up at More O’Ferrall Park on:

📅 Tuesday 9th June
📅 Wednesday 10th June
⏰ 7.00pm – 9.00pm

Each year, hundreds of people pass through our gates for this fantastic community event. We are proud not only to host the event but also to be one of the beneficiary organisations involved.

We would greatly appreciate as many volunteers as possible coming along, even if you can only spare an hour.

Please bring:
🧹 Sweeping / yard brushes
🔨 Spades
✂️ Hedge trimmers

Many hands make light work and every bit of help makes a difference.

It is with great sadness that we learned of the passing of Maura Kelly, beloved mother of Celine Kelly-Kenny and mother-in-law of our Group Leader, Liam.
Celine is a valued and active member of our Scout Group and has given so much of her time and energy through her work with our Parents & Friends Committee, helping organise fundraisers, secure grants and support the group in countless ways.
As a mark of respect, all scouting activities are cancelled this week.
Our thoughts and prayers are with Celine, Liam, Ross and all the Kelly family at this very difficult time.
