Road to Ratoath litter picked, our 2025 “Pride Of Place” awards hanging proudly at the church entrance, as we sadly say our goodbye this morning to Kilbride Tidy Towns stalwart Ollie as the sun shines down on our lovely village, of which he was so proud. His interest and knowledge in everything historic, current and the future of Kilbride will be sorely missed.
May he rest in peace. Ar dheis Dé go raibh a anam dílis

Mr. Snowman.

Mr. Snowman, (known locally as Mr. M.H. Snowman) arrived outside Scoil Bhríde over the weekend to greet the school children in the lead up to Christmas. ⛄️ ⛄️

Looks like 🤔 he is keeping an eye on traffic and asking motorists to slow down through the village particularly during these dark mornings and evenings. 🚘🚛🏍️

*New Defibrillator in Kilbride. *

Funded by the Ballymacarney Solar Farm Community Benifit Fund, Kilbride GFC have purchased and installed a new outdoor “Lifesaving Defibrillator”. It is located on the wall of the club building facing outwards onto the car park, with lighting 24/7. (see photos) Club Eircode is D15 WN22.

Dial 999 or 112 for the Code to access the defibrillator.

The location of the defibrillator is being registered on the central register of defibrillators so that, if required, the National emergency services can direct bystanders to their nearest AED and increase a person’s chance of survival.

It is so important that you please let your family, neighbours and your contact groups know of the location at Kilbride GFC as knowing where the nearest AED is located can make all the difference when every second counts.

Circular economy and sustainability to the fore in Kilbride.

Two wood planks, a few bits of discarded steel bars, two flat rounded stones from the shoreline, and a piece of old rope, transformed into an abstract “friendship” feature at the village crossroads. Hope you like it!!

Hi all See below message and it would be appreciated if you could complete the survey. Thanks

As you are aware, the East Meath North Dublin Community Benefit Fund consultation is now underway, and we have now completed the full series of workshops. While we have had good engagement at those sessions, survey participation to date has been quite limited. The survey is a vital part of this early consultation stage and will directly influence the Fund’s design, priorities, and long-term benefit to the area.
With this in mind, we would greatly appreciate your support in giving a renewed push to the survey within your own communities, networks, and organisations. Your voices carry weight, and your involvement can ensure that groups who stand to benefit are aware of the opportunity and have their say.

If you have any questions or if additional information would be helpful, please let me know.
Many thanks again for your continued engagement and support,
