๐Ÿ’™ Thank You, Festive Friends Volunteers ๐Ÿ’™

Once again, Festive Friends was a wonderful success โ€” and thatโ€™s entirely thanks to our amazing volunteers.

On Christmas Eve, they gave their time to deliver Christmas dinners to people across Meath who may be living alone and might otherwise see no one over the holiday period. Those doorstep visits meant so much more than a meal โ€” they brought connection, kindness, and a friendly face at a very special time of year.

Thank you to everyone who gave up part of their Christmas Eve and helped spread warmth and festive cheer across Meath. Their generosity truly made a difference.

A huge thank you to our volunteers, JM Food Services for providing the meals, and to the National Lottery Fund for supporting this initiative and helping make Festive Friends 2025 possible.

These photos capture just a small snapshot of the kindness behind this initiative โ€” thank you all for helping make Christmas brighter for others. ๐ŸŽ„โค๏ธ

๐ŸŒ Happy ! ๐ŸŒ
Today we were delighted to celebrate the incredible spirit of volunteering with two special events here in Meath!

โœจ Thank You Event - Wilkinstown
We hosted a warm and relaxed thank-you gathering where volunteers came together to connect, network, and enjoy some food. It was a lovely opportunity to recognise the time, energy, and heart that volunteers give to our communities every day. โค๏ธ

๐Ÿ“˜ Active Citizenship & Benefits of Volunteering Workshop โ€“ Navan
At the same time in Navan, volunteers from the Teach Mnรก Womenโ€™s Group took part in an Active Citizenship workshop as part of the Connecting Culture Programme. Participants explored active citizenship, the benefits of volunteering, and the many ways individuals can positively impact their communities.

A huge thank you to everyone who joined us across both events today โ€” your passion and commitment are what make Meath such a vibrant and caring place to live. ๐Ÿ’š

A special thank you to our funders for their continued support in making these events possible

Last Saturday (Oct. 25th) our Community Volunteers joined Youth Work Ireland in Gormanstown Park to celebrate Youth Wave Festival 2025. ๐ŸŽ‰ ๐ŸŽ‰

What a wonderful day we had, our Community Volunteers once again demonstrated their incredible goodwill and dedication, donating their free time to the numerous children and young people who attended the Youth Wave Festival 2025.
The children had the chance to try out various sports and social games, and the volunteers from the Meath Volunteer Centre were there to explain the rules and offer a helping hand whenever needed.
It was a true joy to play volleyball, table tennis, and soccer after such a long time, we even had a session of Dungeons & Dragons! ๐Ÿช„
A huge thank you to Youth Work Ireland for their trust and for providing our volunteers with the opportunity to showcase their hidden talents.
