What lovely heart felt words from Cians wonderful Mam, Lisa 🥰 Cians playground will provide a safe place for children to laugh, play & have fun for many years to come. 🌈

💙 What a truly special day 💙

Today, Sunday 4th October, is a day I will hold in my heart forever.

The reveal of Cian’s Playground in Deerpark was so incredibly special. Seeing the playground officially named after my boy, Cian, brought so many emotions. There will also be two Buddy Benches installed over the coming weeks, and a beautiful tree was planted at the playground for Cian.

Cian was only four years old when he passed away in 2015, and while I would give anything to have him here with me, knowing that his name will live on in the community he was born into and loved means more to me than I could ever put into words.

I was completely overwhelmed by how many people came out today. I feel so incredibly happy, proud and grateful to be part of such a wonderful community. Seeing so many familiar faces, and so many people who wanted to be there for Cian, was truly amazing. 💙

A huge thank you to my family and friends for showing up and supporting me and Cian, as you always do. Your love and support means everything to me. 💜

And a very special thank you to the committee who came up with this beautiful idea and made it happen. Thank you also to everyone who helped out, baked and prepared food for today. Every bit of kindness and support was so greatly appreciated.

What started with last year’s Tractor Run has created something so meaningful that will remain in our community for years to come.

Every child who runs, plays and laughs in Cian’s Playground will be adding another little memory to his story. And for me, as Cian’s Mammy, there is no greater gift than knowing my little boy will never be forgotten.

Today wasn’t just the unveiling of the playground name.

It was the celebration of a little boy who was and still is deeply loved, is forever missed, and whose memory will continue to live on. 🌈

A lovely memorial event for our community 💞

💙 In Memory of Cian McDonnell Lynch 💙

Last year, our wonderful community came together for a very special Tractor Run in memory of our beautiful Cian, who sadly passed away in 2015 at just four years old.

The kindness, generosity and support shown by everyone who took part, donated, volunteered and helped make the day such a huge success meant more to our family than words could ever express. The money raised was donated to Deerpark continuing Cian’s memory in a way that helps others.

We are now incredibly honoured and grateful to share that the committee has decided to create something very special in our local playground in memory of Cian, and it's even more special as it will be coming up to his 11th Anniversary 💙

All will be revealed on Sunday, 4th October at 12pm at the playground in Deerpark, Carlanstown.

We would love to invite everyone who took part in last year’s Tractor Run, along with family, friends and anyone from our community who would like to come along, to join us for this very special occasion. There will be tea/coffee served in the hub also.

It will be a beautiful day to remember a little boy who was and still is loved so deeply and whose memory continues to live on through the kindness of so many.
