June Is Dads Cycle Fundraising Month!

June 1st marks the start of Dads Cycle for Charity’s month-long fundraising campaign.

Before the lads head off to the Midlands this month—suncream and spandex at the ready—we’ll be calling on businesses, organisations, clubs, and families across the community to contribute whatever they can.

This is a fantastic opportunity to support our ongoing charity efforts. Every donation makes a real difference, helping those in our community who are facing challenging times

21 Years in the Saddle for Good Causes in Kells

The 2026 Dads Cycle for Charity campaign has officially launched today at The Cross of Kells, marking an incredible 21 years of grassroots fundraising and community spirit.

To date, we have raised over €350,000 in support of local charities, organisations, and volunteer-led initiatives that make a real difference in people’s lives.

With more than €50,000 raised in the past year alone, the initiative has grown far beyond a single weekend — now running year-round through events like car washes, bucket collections, and an upcoming Church Gate collection.

In the last 12 months, funds have supported over 50 local causes, including Blackwater CFR Group, Hope4Sharon, Kells Meals on Wheels, youth groups, senior support services, and many more.

Every euro raised stays local, helping vital services continue our work.

Goodbye Toto ❤️

It is with great sadness that everyone at Dads Cycle for Charity remembers Tony “Toto” Lynch, who passed away suddenly.

One of the town's big characters, Tony always had time for a chat and a laugh with his unique mix of the bus driver's wit and the biker's dry sense of humour!

A passionate supporter of all things local, which included his beloved Kells Road Races and of course Dads Cycle for Charity. He was the first man to welcome us home from our Big Ride each year. Even after his surgery last year, he stood at the finish line to cheer us home.

We were privileged as a group to support Tony through his illness, something he was always very grateful for, having supported so many in the locality through hard times himself.

Our heartfelt condolences go to his brother and our Chairman Frankie Lynch, his brother-in-law Paddy Gogarty, our team member, and all of Tony’s family and friends at this very difficult time.

HOPE4SHARON: Dads Cycle for Charity Car Wash 2026 🫧

We’re back in the saddle for 2026, raising funds to support those in our community who need it most.

Our first event of the year is our annual Charity Car Wash, taking place on Saturday, April 11th at Mickey Tobin’s Garage, Gardenrath, from 9am to 4pm.

This year, all proceeds will go to the Hope4Sharon campaign, helping in some small way as Rockfield's Sharon (Conaty) Ball begins her treatment journey in New York.
