Meetings are self-run and members work their way through Toastmasters’ education program. Where are club meetings held? Talk Club meets at 7:15 pm every first and third Tuesday of the month, at

Do I need to contact a club before attending? We recommend you contact a club prior to visiting to confirm the meeting time and location, as well as to let the club know to expect you. Am I required to speak at a club meeting? You are not obligated to speak when visiting a club. You may simply observe. How long do club meetings last? Talk Club meetings times generally range from 2 to 2.5 hours
Do I need to bring anything to a club meeting? You are not required to bring anything to a meeting
Is there a leader or instructor? There is no instructor in a Toastmasters meeting. The club will have elected club officers present and a Toastmaster who facilitates the meeting. How do I find a club’s officers? A club’s officers will usually greet guests. Toastmasters are friendly and helpful, so if you cannot find one, simply ask a member who the officers are. Club officers are your best resource and can answer any questions you have. Can anyone become a member? As long as you are at least 18 years old, you can join Toastmasters. Talk Club have members from all parts of the community. How much does it cost to become a member? Talk Club members annual subscription is €120 (there is a summer break (July and Aug)

Tuesdays (19th) meeting saw Toastmaster Seamus take charge of a meeting with 2 prepared speeches. Margaret gave an advanced level speech on “Impromptu Speaking” - exploring tips and techniques. Mike then followed with an advanced level speech on Positive Coaching.
Sean ran a table topics on the theme of TV and Film and Entertainment.
Conn mor, the visiting Area Coordinator led evaluations, assisted by role takers Vinod, Neshi, Benson, Jo and Brian, and speech evaluators Jeremy and Tom.
Our next meeting is on the 2nd of June. Again in Studio 2 at 7.15, and again, guests are most welcome to come along to see how we can help improve confidence and improve public speaking.

Our very busy meeting on Tuesday 5th saw Toastmaster Brian direct 4 meeting speeches. Nesbit told us of her journey as a mum to teens. Bredagh explained why Pathways, and Toastmasters is a superior learning experience for Communication. Shona took us to Everest Base Camp, and Benson brought us from South Africa on his journey to working in Letterkenny.
Seamus ran a travel themed Table topics session.
Margaret led evaluation, helped by Arif as Invocator, Harman as Poetmaster, Oksana as Wordmaster, Jo as Ah-em counter and Vinod as Timer.
Our next meeting will be on Tuesday the 19th.
Studio 2 at 7.15 in the Community Centre.
As usual all guests are welcome, and there is no charge for guests either.

Our meeting on Tuesday 21st, with the theme “pets”, saw Toastmaster Connor steer the 17 members and guests through the meeting.
A first Icebreaker speech from Connor Glackin was followed by Michael giving an educational presentation, and finally Brian did an impromptu speech, where he spoke for 6 minutes on a topic given to him 10 minutes beforehand.
Jeremy then led the pet themed Topics session after the tea break, and finally Seamus led the evaluations.
Our next meeting is on May 5th. Usual time at 7.15, in Studio 2. Guests and visitors welcome.
