Thank you to everyone who attended our AGM today. A special thanks to our Community Garda for sharing her insights on the issues raised, including speeding in the estate, parking near corners and blocking sight lines, and overall security. Your engagement helps us keep Rathdown Park safe and welcoming for all.

A big thank you to our Residents Association Committee and our Family Fun Day Committee for their continued volunteering and hard work throughout the year.

Interested in the payback and value of solar PVs? Don’t know what solar PV even means? Have community ideas on sustainable energy? Or simply want to get installations with community discounts? Homeowners, businesses, club members, others - join us for a quick update and informal chat about all things sustainable energy 🙏

🗓️ When: Thursday 24th Sept, 19.00 to 21.00
📍Where: Upstairs in Greystones library
👥 What do I need to bring: Just yourself, or bring a friend as well. All welcome.

Full details from the team below.
See you there!

“Over the past few years, the Greystones & Delgany Sustainable Energy Community (GDSEC) has grown from a local idea into an active community energy group, organising buying clubs for home solar and insulation installs, conducting free home energy audits, supporting local clubs, and working to make home energy upgrades easier to understand and access.

On Thursday September 24th from 7pm to 9pm in Greystones Library, we’re holding an informal community evening to look at what we’ve achieved, what exciting developments are now emerging, and where GDSEC could go next.

But we don’t want to decide the next chapter on our own. We’d like to hear from local residents, businesses, and clubs. What energy challenges are you facing? What programmes should we be looking at? Are there opportunities or ideas we haven’t considered? And if you’ve already participated in one of our Solar PV or insulation Meitheals, we’d love you to come along, share your experience and hear about future opportunities that may also benefit you.

If you’re considering a home battery, a heat pump, solar panels, additional insulation, a wider retrofit or simply ways to reduce your energy bills, you can hear how our community programmes work, what may be coming next and ask questions about the options available.

The format will be simple: a short GDSEC presentation followed by plenty of time for conversation, questions and ideas.
Whether you are considering an energy upgrade, have an idea for the community, or are simply curious about what comes next, we’d love to see you there.”
