Best of luck to all receiving their exam results tomorrow.

Whether your results are exactly what you hoped for, or not quite what you expected, remember: this is only one chapter in your journey. There is still a world of opportunities ahead.

The most important A, B and C are not the ones on a results sheet, but the ones that shape your story. Exams measure papers, not people.

Take care of yourself, stay safe, and remember that Futures In Mind is here for you. đź’š (0818) 303061

Words matter.

When someone survives a su***de attempt, describing it as “failed” can carry a meaning we may not intend.

They did not fail.
They survived.

The language we use can either add stigma or create space for dignity, compassion and support. Sometimes changing a few words can change the way we see someone.

Words can harm. Words can help heal.

When someone is labelled “attention-seeking,” we can miss what they may actually be communicating: “I’m in pain. I need help.”

Changing the language changes the response. Instead of judgement, choose curiosity. Instead of dismissing behaviour, recognise distress. Sometimes what looks like attention-seeking is a person trying to find a way to be seen, heard and supported.

How to Talk to Your GP About Mental Health 👨🏻‍⚕️👩‍⚕️🏥

For many people in Ireland, walking into a GP's office and saying 'I'm not doing well mentally' is one of the hardest things they will ever do. Whether it is fear of being judged, uncertainty about what to say, or simply not knowing if what they are experiencing is 'bad enough' to mention, many peop...

Our child and adolescent psychotherapist, Molly Redmond, has raised growing concerns about the number of young people using our service who are engaging in self-harm and expressing suicidal thoughts.
She notes that excessive mobile phone and device use appears to be a significant contributing factor, with school attendance also suffering as a result.
To support parents, we’ve created a practical guide that highlights the risks linked to device use and how to respond effectively.
Please remember: any threat of su***de or self-harm should always be taken seriously.
You’ll find the link to the guide in the comments. http://l.taxiwatch.ie/help

👏 A HUGE well done and thank you to this team from Fast Technologies for completing QPR Gatekeeper Su***de Prevention Training with Futures In Mind and our friends at Alps.
Your dedication to recognising signs of crisis, confidently asking tough questions, and providing compassionate support could genuinely save lives. đź’š
Research shows that up to 90% of people who die through su***de show warning signs beforehand. Bystander training like this empowers teams to notice and respond effectively.
Together, we're building safer, more supportive communities.
