The Future of Regional Social Networking

VIVA Community Networks Worldwide has taken over Local Campus www.localcampus.com Everything will change on 1st of March, 2013 !

VIVA is the next era in Social Networking! This platform will revolutionise communications within regions allowing all events, venues, change of venues, matches, concerts, films, festivals, community notices, fundraisers, news, accommodation availability, and absolutely everything!

It will attract serious local and national advertisers offering excellent value for money … and 50% of all advertising revenue is ring fenced and returned to each region!!

This is all I ever dreamed of and more for Local Campus and here it is! I simply did not have the resources to achieve it.

The software is incredible, and developed for regional and worldwide networking. It is proprietary software owned exclusively by VIVA Community Networks Worldwide www.my-viva-networks.com , and will be accessible on all computers and hand held internet devices.

VIVA Worldwide is based in Australia, and has an Irish subsidiary which manages Ireland and the U.K. If you wish you can buy shares in this relatively early stage business before it takes off and the share price multiplies in value. VIVA plans to be listed on the Stock Exchange in 2014. Now is your chance, don’t miss the boat!

Local Campus was a major labour of love for me while spending many thousands of hours burning the midnight oil. Many thanks to all readers and contributors. I have had incredible help from so many people in website development, event information, content providers, article writing, photographers, promotion, advertisers, and encouraging comments, with of course the odd complaint! However it was an easy decision to sign it over to VIVA. Local Campus will be at the forefront of the next generation in social networking.

Interested in finding out more or being an early stage investor in VIVA?? Dr. Galen Loven, founder of VIVA Community Networks Worldwide can be contacted on [email protected] , and you can find some company information on www.my-viva-networks.com .

The Home Help Service is coming under serious pressure with The Government planning to at least halve the time Home Help...
11/10/2012

The Home Help Service is coming under serious pressure with The Government planning to at least halve the time Home Help practioners spend with the elderly and ill people. This is one of the most under-rated and wonderful services that quietly operates in every parish every day. Often the Home Help has to get the person up, wash them, help them prepare meals, help in the house, and more. Presently they are expected to do this in an hour. The Government now wants them to do all of this in half an hour, and apparently the aim is to get it back to a quarter of an hour. This is absolutely ridiculous and an absolute insult to the patients and the practioners. Please support their plight by adding your name to the campaign to stop this nonsense http://www.causes.com/causes/796730-save-our-home-help-service Many thanks for your support, best regards, Walter

A follow up meeting to progress the project will be held on Tuesday, October 16th at 7.30pm in the Celtic Ross Hotel.

Whats On in West Cork ...... www.WestCorkCampus.com

Yes these posters are going out far and wide .... around West Cork, Dublin, Cork, Kildare, London, Germany, and as far away as Afghanistan! Everybody leaving Loughbeg Open Farm gets one to put up in their local libraries, shops, schools and elsewhere all over the world.

Help! ... please would you print out two or three posters and put them up locally or ask friends and family around the world to do the same. Here is the link for printing www.localcampus.com/westcork.zip

All of our activities, places to eat and stay, courses and everything else on the site will shortly be organised by area in West Cork like the Summer Camps - watch this space!

In this weeks West Cork Local great pieces by Carol Gilbert and Rob Heyland, a petition to keep the AIB bank open in Schull, Food, Film, Festivals, and lots more on www.westcorkcampus.com

28/06/2012

Apparently Kinsale is not in West Cork according to Fáilte Ireland and Today FM. It's a pity as we could do with Kinsale's votes in the Today FM competition to broadcast from West Cork for a week. Kerry is forging ahead this evening. It's approx Kerry 3,700 votes to West Cork 3,300, so we can still win if we make a good effort! You can vote every 24 hours. Please please get behind one last effort to get West Cork out in front. Cork and Kinsale please vote for West Cork!! Anyway I absolutely love Kinsale so Local Campus (now read in 84 countries!) will continue to promote it as part of West Cork ! So in order to get this huge publicity for West Cork please ...follow this link http://www.todayfm.com/Shows/discoverirelandvote2/RayFoley.aspx.

It doesn't help that poor Clonakilty and much of West Cork and Cork City had the most horrendous deluge. Hopefully it will recede quickly. The Clonakilty positive spirit is incredible so they will bounce back immediately. See their lovely picture of Jungle City on the front page of this week's West Cork Local, shortly to be launched. Well done Clon - an absolutely brilliant idea!

Also in this week's West Cork Local huge congratulations to our great friend Karen Coakley, the new Mayor of Skibbereen. She will do a wonderful job. Loughbeg Open Farm has teamed up with the Southern Star with a wonderful competition, and ... and just so much more wonderful 'goings on' in West Cork I couldn't begin to name them ..... all in this week's West Cork Local I hope you have a lovely read, please click here ...

www.westcorkcampus.com/westcorklocal.html

Please keep voting and please ask everybody you know to do the same!! Let's not miss this wonderful opportunity.

24/06/2012

Here is the presentation by Douglas B. Reynolds, Professor Oil and Energy Economics, University of Alaska Fairbanks, at the New Energy Era forum held recently in West Cork, Ireland. In Douglas' own words .....

"I will plan on a 30 minute presentation explaining the rise of the British Empire and the fall of the Soviet Empire and how that applies to the world today. I believe that once everyone realizes that the fall of the Soviet Empire was a peak oil event, more people will see the problems we now face and how serious they are. Remember, I am an economist and have done many economics academic journal articles explaining peak oil and why it is so difficult for our world's economies unlike so many main-stream economists that simply look at the so-called neo-classical economics of technological solutions."

Here is the link http://www.localcampus.com/Regions/Europe/Ireland/Videos/New_Energy_Era_Forum_2012/Video_Index.html

Also is the exceptional talent of Camilla Griehsel of 'Sing Sing LOVE'. Camilla will make any conference extraordinary! Here is the link to her musical and mindful presentation information .... http://camillagriehsel.com/sing May I strongly recommend including such a performance during any conference or event.
