Waiting List Re-Opening – Assistance Dog Programme 💚

We’re delighted to announce that the waiting list for our Assistance Dog Programme will re-open on Monday, 23rd March 2026, from 9am to 9pm.

This is a particularly special year for us as we celebrate our 50th anniversary. Over the past five decades, we’ve had the privilege of transforming the lives of over 2,000 families and individuals through our Guide, Assistance, and Community Dogs.

Since launching Europe’s first dedicated Assistance Dog Programme for children with autism in 2005, we’ve continued to set the benchmark for excellence in training standards, dog welfare, and lifelong family support. Thanks to this proven impact, we are proud to be Ireland’s largest and most successful Assistance Dog Programme for children with autism.

Application details, including eligibility criteria, FAQs and details of our free information webinars, are available on our website now: https://www.guidedogs.ie/what-we-do/assistance-dogs
