An Irish Voice for Persecuted Christians (CHY 23070) on behalf of persecuted Christians. Church in Chains believes in religious freedom for all.

Church in Chains is an independent Irish charity that encourages prayer and action in support of persecuted Christians worldwide. Church in Chains publishes the latest news in a quarterly magazine, a monthly news summary and a website (www.churchinchains.ie ). Church in Chains supports a network of prayer groups around Ireland and also encourages advocacy (by means o

f letters, petitions, vigils, meetings with Ambassadors etc.) Church in Chains works with several international partners to channel aid to families of prisoners. It also provides Bibles, Christian literature and assistance to Christians who are in poor circumstances because of their faith. Church in Chains organises an annual conference where visiting speakers tell of their personal experiences of persecution. Church in Chains was formerly known as CHRISTIAN CONCERN FOR FREEDOM OF CONSCIENCE. Its work began in the 1970’s by raising awareness of the persecution of Christians in the Soviet Union.

Pray for the family of Wu Qiuyu of Beijing Zion Church in China which has been torn apart by persecution. She has been detained since last October and faces trial soon. Her husband Pastor Yang Jun was abroad in South Korea on a ministry trip when she was arrested and remains there. Pray for Park Tae Yeon (70) of CEF Korea who faces a possible 17-year sentence on three immigration-related charges in a trial that began on 28 July in Khabarovsk, southeast Russia.

Good news from China – Pastor Ezra Jin Mingri (57) has been released from detention after diplomatic talks and arrived in Los Angeles on 4 July, the 250th anniversary of the United States’ Declaration of Independence.

Where Is Mary Mohammadi? The 27-year-old Iranian Christian convert who is a well-known human rights defender and journalist and a former prisoner of conscience, disappeared in late February and has not been heard from since then. Have you ever been on a church weekend away? Last weekend, Early Rain Covenant Church in China travelled to a hotel where they began their weekend away. Good news from Egypt – the Government has legalised 191 more church buildings. The executive order was issued following a meeting of a high-level government committee. Please pray for Iranian Christian converts and asylum-seekers Sam Khosravi and Maryam Falahi and their adopted daughter Lydia (8) who are currently living in Türkiye. Sam and Maryam adopted Lydia from an orphanage in Iran when she was three months old. However, Turkish immigration officials have now raised questions about whether Sam and Maryam have legal custody of Lydia.
🙏🏻 Pray for wisdom for Sam and Maryam in how to handle the issue and peace and assurance that they and Lydia are in God's hands.
🙏🏻 Pray that Turkish immigration officials will seek viable solutions to the complex questions regarding the legal custody of Lydia.
