🌿🧹 Another busy morning 🧹🌿

This morning we were out weeding the second bed and sweeping and tidying the church steps 🌱✨

While we were working, a dad and his young son stopped to chat. The little boy told his dad that he wished more people would take care of the world, and then they turned the corner and saw us working away. 💚

It’s fair to say that put a pep in our step for the rest of the morning 😊

Sometimes it’s the small conversations that make all the effort worthwhile.

. 🔆 MEN’s HEALTH WEEK 🔆

Men’s Health Week will run from Monday, the 15th to Sunday, the 21st of June (Father’s Day). We will be sharing practical info every day next week. This year in Ireland, the theme for MHW 2026 is:
🔅 “One Step at a Time” 🔅

This theme encourages men and boys to focus on progress, not perfection. Men’s Health Week promotes practical, positive action, raising awareness, building health knowledge, supporting healthier lifestyle choices, strengthening wellbeing and encouraging early action when health concerns arise.

Small steps that men and boys take in terms of their health consistently, can make a meaningful difference over time, and health issues could be caught early 🤞

The Very Pink Run attracts a pink tribe of men, women and children, all showing their support in helping to raise vital funds for Breast Cancer Ireland’s ongoing research and awareness efforts. Communities share an eagerness to help positively change the landscape of this disease into the future.

It was great to see someone out tidying and clearing one of the beds near Grandons recently 🌱✨

With Tidy Towns judging taking place any day now, it's lovely to see people taking pride in the community and helping to keep it looking its best 💚

We really appreciate everyone who contributes in their own way, whether it's weeding a bed, picking up a piece of litter, sweeping outside their home or business, or simply looking after their own patch 🌿

Every little bit helps and it all adds up 👏🌼

🌿🧹 A busy morning in the community 🧹🌿

A huge amount of work was completed this morning with sweeping, weeding and one of the beds getting a much-needed tidy up 🌱✨

It’s always amazing to see the difference a few hours of work can make 👏

While working away, we also spotted some of the wildlife that shares our community, including a ladybird 🐞 and some busy bees 🐝🌼

A reminder that even the smallest green spaces can support nature when they are cared for 🌿💚
