πŸ“…6 June 2026

Free / No booking required

Get ready for one of the most exciting youth events of the summer as Youth Lates returns for CruinniΓΊ na nΓ“g on June 6th, 2026, with a high-energy open-air gig at Fr. Burke Park.
Designed for young people aged 14–18, this special evening brings together live music, creativity and community in a safe, inclusive and vibrant outdoor setting.

Headline Act: BABYRAT
BABYRAT are one of Ireland’s fastest-rising new bands, cutting through the noise with razor-sharp riffs, anthemic choruses and fearless energy. Blending a sound somewhere between The Strokes and Olivia Rodrigo. They’ve already opened for The Coronas at the INEC Arena and played packed shows at Other Voices and Ireland Music Week. With a run of summer dates aheadβ€”including All Together Now and Live at the Marquee with Bell X1β€”BABYRAT are firmly on the rise.

Local acts showcasing the very best of emerging Galway talent include;
Moonlight Eclipse, Silence Speaks Volumes, Copacetic, The Afterwards, Cats!
Aoibhnes, Mentality, Portraits, JAY, Izzy Melia, Millie Ross, Artem Knazev, Alyafeine
Jamie & Carla

Youth Lates reflects a growing appetite among young audiences in Galway for shared live music experiences and is part of Galway City Council’s Night-Time Economy Action Plan, creating age-appropriate and inclusive evening experiences.

Youth Lates at CruinniΓΊ Late is delivered in partnership with Creative Ireland, Music Generation Galway City, Galway City Comhairle na nΓ“g and Youth Work Ireland Galway. Funded by Galway City Council Night-Time Economy and the Department of Culture, Communications and Sport.

Claddagh Residents Association are organising a Clean-up of the Claddagh Area commencing on Monday evening 15th June from 5pm onwards on and continuing each evening up to Thursday 18th June. We are inviting the community (who are able) to come out and sweep-up outside their own house. The aim of the event is to foster community spirit and promote a cleaner, safer environment for everyone. Whether you can spare 15 minutes or a whole evening, every little bit helps. Bags and gloves will be provided by Galway City Council.

Admiring a Claddagh cottage dresser filled with shining delph' was a major status symbol in the old Claddagh fishing village. Nan Ryan (rip) pictured with a fine example of delphware, which was often collected from the four corners of the earth by sons of the Claddagh who served in the British Navy about the time of World War I.
