Hi Everyone!
We're in the process of organizing a Community First Responders Group for Kiltullagh, Killimordaly and surrounding area!
𝙒𝙝𝙖𝙩 𝙞𝙨 𝙖 𝘾𝙁𝙍 (𝘾𝙤𝙢𝙢𝙪𝙣𝙞𝙩𝙮 𝙁𝙞𝙧𝙨𝙩 𝙍𝙚𝙨𝙥𝙤𝙣𝙨𝙚) 𝙂𝙧𝙤𝙪𝙥?
Kiltullagh Killimordaly Community First Responders (CFR) are a group of volunteers who are trained to attend certain types of emergencies calls in our local area. CFR groups who are linked to the NAS National Emergency Operations Center are alerted and respond to emergencies in their area within minutes of a 112/999 call being received.
Our group was established in 2023 with the aim to assist people in our community who are suffering from potential life-threatening emergencies such as Heart Attack, Stroke, Choking and Cardiac Arrest. Our role is to help stabilize the patient and provide the appropriate care including defibrillation. Our responders aim to arrive in the first vital minutes of an event, sometimes before an ambulance arrives providing the quickest possible treatment for the patient.
𝙒𝙝𝙖𝙩 𝙙𝙤 𝙬𝙚 𝙣𝙚𝙚𝙙?
We are looking for volunteers to train as responders, we are looking for people to help with fundraising and awareness and we are looking for financial donations to help support the groups work! 𝑾𝒐𝒖𝒍𝒅 𝒚𝒐𝒖 𝒍𝒊𝒌𝒆 𝒕𝒐 𝒉𝒆𝒍𝒑 𝒐𝒖𝒕 𝒘𝒊𝒕𝒉 𝒐𝒏𝒆 𝒐𝒇 𝒕𝒉𝒆 𝒂𝒃𝒐𝒗𝒆? 𝑪𝒐𝒏𝒕𝒂𝒄𝒕 𝑨𝒍𝒂𝒏 𝒐𝒓 𝑪𝒂𝒓𝒐𝒍𝒊𝒏𝒆 𝒏𝒐𝒘.

Great work has been done behind the scenes by Paraic Loughnane and the Eyrecourt CFR Group in developing an app that streamlines and simplifies the way Community First Responders respond to life threatening emergencies along side their colleagues in the National Ambulance Service (NAS)
