GUMS is NUIG's musical society that aims to put on a full scale inclusive musical every February and more. The entire society and show is run, planned, produced and performed by students, and apart from the main musical we provide for many more opportunities for students to take part and perform. These include Open Mic Nights, Variety Shows, Musical Lucky Dips, 24 Hour Musicals, a collaborative musical with Dramsoc among others.

Inspired by the hit musical Wicked, GUMS will be taking their adaptation of the musical to the stage of the “Emerald City” (Athlone).. for the annual MTI Intervarsities competition. 💚🪩

However you’re in luck, you can be DANCING THROUGH LIFE with us as they will be putting on a showcase of their fabulous 20 minute production in the Cube before they travel down to Athlone to compete, it’s promised to be absolutely POPULAR.🫧
