Sunday Ramble *WEATHER PERMITTING* 06th September will be Sean Bothar, Cornamona Leader Paraic O’Sullivan. 9 km, approximately 3 hrs. In the event of poor weather in Cornamona we will do a local walk instead.
Meet at Tony’s Cafe An Fuarán at 10:00am.

Warm and foggy at times but lovely views when it cleared 😀Six hikers summited Binn Chaonaigh and Binn Mhairg and made it home safe thanks to the guidance of leader Anne Rowan.

CHANGE OF PLAN - Due to another wet and windy forecast on Sunday this weekend's hike will be on Saturday 29th August.

The hike will be Binn Chaonaigh and Binn Mhairg. (600m ascent) Approximately 4hrs, Leader Anne Rowan
Meeting at Oughterard carpark at 9.00am. Participants should let Haulie Dowd (087 2485531) know by text or WhatsApp before 6.00pm on Friday.

Please ensure you bring appropriate hillwalking gear, including: Walking boots, Waterproof jacket and trousers, Gloves, Hat, Extra warm layers, Sunscreen, Insect repellent, Hot and/or cold drinks, Food/snacks, Walking poles (recommended).

Our members had a ramble on the Western Way along the Errif River led by Geraldine Farrell. A beautiful day to enjoy our gorgeous and natural scenery.

What's with rainy Sundays? Another tough forecast delivered the promised rain and wind on Devilsmother. Six hikers made the trip and kept in good spirits despite clouds and rain. Thanks to leader Anne Rowan who kept everyone on track on a challenging day for navigation 🧭

Sunday 2nd August Four hardy hikers ignored the weather forecast to complete a circuit of Lough Glenawough today. Treated to a mixture of rain, wind, cloud and pleasant weather the hiked for over 11km with 700m ascent. Thanks and kudos to Seamus for leading on a tough day for navigation.

Ascent: 700 m
Duration: 5/5.5 hours. Leader is Seamus Leyden. Participants should let Seamus (087 2974486) know

Location of start of walk: Erriff bridge 10/11 km beyond Leenane on the Westport road.
Meeting point Oughterard car park at 08:45 for car pool to starting point.
