Croí Heart & Stroke Charity is looking for friendly and enthusiastic volunteers to support their community exercise classes for people living with cardiovascular disease and stroke.

Volunteers will support the exercise instructor leading the class, help with setting up, welcoming and encouraging participants during the session, and create a positive and safe environment for everyone taking part. This is a great opportunity to gain experience in working with people in a community health setting and help support people recovering from heart disease and stroke.

Victim Support at Court, or V-SAC, is the only voluntary service in Ireland that specialises in court accompaniment for victims of crime, their families, and witnesses. Their services are free and available to anyone who has been a victim of crime, including children and vulnerable adults.

They are looking for individuals to become Court Support Volunteers and play an important role in supporting victims of crime. They are looking for people who are kind, empathetic, able to work as a team and have fluent English. Full training is provided.

Volunteers must be over 18 years of age and have a full clean driving licence.

Knocknacarra Parkrun hold a free timed community 5k run each Saturday from 9.00am to 10.30am at Cappagh Park. The parkrun has a core group of volunteers, but they are looking for new volunteers to join their team.

This is a relaxed and welcoming environment, the only requirements are a positive attitude and the ability to encourage the participants. Some of the tasks include marshalling the runners, encouraging all participants, overseeing the timing, helping with setting up the course.

Studio C is an art and creativity studio for adults with intellectual disabilities located in Ballybane, Galway City run by Corlann (formerly Brothers of Charity Services Ireland) and they are looking for volunteers for the role of Buddy.

Volunteers will be matched with, and become a Buddy to an adult with an intellectual disability. A Volunteer Buddy will provide friendly, one-to-one personal support, social connection, and practical guidance to help the individual they are matched with in a range of ways, such as settling into a new environment, building confidence, or participating in social activities.
