Ardrahan Playground

The playground is closed for Maintenance

We have been asked by the council to close the multiplay unit with the slide as it needs a repair so at the present moment we won’t be able to commit to a time in which it will be reopened

We heed the communities support more than ever

We have a placed a collection barrel in the playground as a trial.

We are asking people to return any bottles or cans with the return logo on them we will then return them and donate the money to the playground

Thank you to everyone who has donated so far.

The reality is we are a far cry short from the funding we need and may have to close the playground on safety grounds if the outstanding issues are not resolved.

If you can donate please do

Just sharing this again we’ve had an amazing start with €360 raised.

Summer is coming and the last thing we want to have to do is close the playground until it can be repaired

If anyone can spare the price of a coffee / stronger beverage it would be greatly appreciated

Good Morning

Just a reminder if our ongoing fundraising to keep our playground safe and keep it open

https://www.idonate.ie/event/ardrahan

We had 1896 people view our last post if they all gave €5/€10 once a year we wouldn’t be in the position we are.

If you can help please do. If you wish to make an offline donation please contact the page here

Many Thanks

Hi, as you are aware the playground is I need of constant maintenance.

We have received many donations in the past of both finance and time which has allowed the playground to remain open.

We are facing some large bills as we head into the busy summer season for the playground we want to make sure everything is in safe to use and in good order.

The playground is a community owned facility and we are reaching out to the community to fundraise to keep it open.

I know they’re are a lot of worthy causes that ask for fundraising but it would be a shame for the playground to have to close coming up into the summer time.

We have included an idonate link below if your in a position to make a donation it will be greatfull received by the community to keep it open.

We are planning on having a clean up day for the playground on Saturday 6th May @ 10:30

We would really like to get as many people in the community available to assist.

If you are available could you please message the page and we can get an idea of how many people will be available.

We will be removing weeds and littler so some small garden tools/gloves will certainly come in handy
