The Riverfest Irish Open Spey Casting Competition went ahead Sunday 23rd August on Lough Conn at School House Bay. This Competition has been run since 2011 and then lost its way for a few years until Riverfest gave it a new lease of life in 2014 and we have run it every year since.
This year the winner was Michael Kane with a cast of 185ft second Place was Martin Kiely and third was Garret Ridroc. Well done to all who took part and a special thanks to Martin Kiely who organises the event every year without a mention.

Foxford Riverfest 2026 - a shorter version of our usual festival but perfectly formed with a truly magical Candles to the Sea, remembering all those who have passed from our amazing community.
Thanks to all who helped, organised, performed and came along, creating such a unique atmosphere.

Foxfords, 🎸'Riverfest Rocks'🎸 wld like to thank the beautifully talented & gracious Julianne Hennelly and the incredibly dynamic Mississippi Sheiks for the absolute privilege of hosting them at Riverfests, Candles to the Sea, last nite.
Candles to the Sea has become such a huge part of our Festival , the gentle remembrance of loved ones & dear people lost to us, as the candles make their own individual path through the waters of The Moy & then the celebration of life itself afterwards.
The opportunity to share their music & their joy with the Foxford & wider community was a real treat & both Artists brought a very special, top notch aspect to our Annual event.
We are so grateful for your involvement 🤗👏

Riverfest Candles to the Sea is nearly here! The team were busy Thursday evening checking out the Gazebos and putting up our famous flags. Friday 21st 8:30pm it is all happening at the car park next to Tiernans fishing tackle shop.
