Riverfest 2026 - do you want it to happen? Can you make it happen??!!
Harry, Taragh and Richard are struggling to get it underway this year - ill health, other commitments, time, energy - and the wider committee are unable to take it all on.
We need new blood, not ‘helpers’ but leaders, organisers, some key players who’ll take up the leadership baton and maybe steer the festival in new directions. We have dates, equipment, seed corn funds, so if you want to give it a go please get in touch. We’ll help where we can of course 😊

🇮🇪 Foxford St. Patrick’s Day Parade 2026

We are delighted to announce that the Foxford St. Patrick’s Day Parade will take place on Sunday 15th March at 4pm! ☘️

To get things rolling, a planning meeting will be held in Foxford Leisure Centre on Wednesday 28th January at 7:30pm.

If you would like to be involved, share ideas, lend a hand, or help shape this year’s celebrations, we would love to see you there. Everyone is welcome, and any support—big or small—would be really appreciated.

Working together to make this yet another fantastic community event for Foxford! 💚

Its time for the "colouredy pie charts" as Taragh calls them!
As a community funded event we think it's right that we report where your money came from and how it was spent, so again this year here is the summary to date (there are still a few items to clear)
You can see 90% came directly from yourselves thru iDonate, direct donations and the fund raising events - thank you a million times over!
Just under half our expenditure was directly on festival events, and around a quarter on new equipment for this and future years. Again all made possible by the community - thank you!
We're still about 10% short on the year overall, currently funded from our reserves, so if you can spare a dime please head over to our iDonate page. It would be good to break even if we can!

Its almost a wrap! Thank you to all of you who donated money to Riverfest either via iDonate, in an envelope - no envelope - or through the Vintage Tea Party, The Bucket Collection or the Quiz!
Some have Pledged money but as yet haven't done so. If you could please help us now as we are in the red and thats not a place we want to be as it impacts on whether we go again next year or not! We struggled yet again with Volunteers and donations and it just makes it so difficult for the people who do step up. God Bless them!

Well, wow! The sun shone, the river was serene, the candles just perfect, the music amazing, the kids entertainment great fun and the crowds just kept coming! What a Riverfest 2025 was!
There have been some great photos and videos posted up, thank you - special thanks to Neil Cruise for his kind words and selection of pics.
There are so many people to thank we can't name them all - you know who you are! But a special thanks to those who stepped in at the last minute due to illness: Stephen Doherty for sound on Friday evening and John and Maria for signing up to a 12 hour day doing sound on Saturday - you saved the whole show!
This year we had a couple of fantastic business sponsors - many thanks to Foxford Pharmacy and Old Salt. Also to Mayo CoCo for support. However we are around €1,500 out of pocket. Money is obviously tight but our iDonate page is still open, especially if you are a business that hasn't yet chipped in :-)
It’s the community that is Foxford that makes Riverfest so special, and the words of a trader, here for the first time, make this so clear:
"It wasn't amazingly lucrative, BUT it was an amazingly enjoyable day. The vibe and atmosphere in Foxford were gorgeous, it was beautiful to watch so many of your community being there, and all visitors clearly had a great time. You have a great 'town feel', if that makes sense, and I'm extremely glad we came."
