Fethard and Killusty community council along with Fethard Festivals committee would like to wish everyone a very happy and peaceful Christmas.
2025 has been a very busy year for us behind the scenes, and especially for the Festival Committee, who organised the Summer Festival, the Christmas Cookery Demonstration, the Tractor Run, and the Christmas Festivities.

Next year, we have big plans for August as we celebrate the 100th anniversary of Fethard Festival.
A date has already been set for our Christmas Tractor Run — November 28th, 2026.

We would like to sincerely thank everyone who has supported our weekly Split the Pot over the past few months, and we are really looking forward to opening our new Community Café in January.
We would to thank everyone who volunteered and helped with us for our events during the year, thanks to Shirley who manages the CE scheme and to all the participants on the CE scheme who are always so willing to give us a hand with anything we are involved in doing.
Thanks to anyone who gave their time and skills to jobs carried out in the Tirry Center during the year your help was very much appreciated.

We will also be studying the findings from our recent Community Survey and hopefully we will be able to follow up on some of your suggestions and observations.

Finally, we would like to say what a truly great community we have here in Fethard. Thank you all for your continued support.

We would like to extend our sincere thanks to the Friars of the Franciscan Church, who very kindly donated their beautiful crib to the Fethard and Killusty Community Council
Following the closure of the Friary in Clonmel we sent a letter to the Franciscan Order asking if they would consider Fethard as a home for the crib, we were delighted and honoured by their generosity.
This year, the crib is on display in Mrs Henehan’s shop window. Plans are already underway to construct a suitable frame for the crib, and it is hoped that next year it will be securely placed in the town square for everyone to enjoy.
Thank you to Shirley who runs the CE scheme for all her help with this and to the lads on the scheme for dismantling collecting and reassembling the crib.
Once again a huge community effort put in.

Light up Fethard’s Tractor Run 🚜🎉 What an enormous success it was!! Fethard Festivals are very grateful to Lar David MJ and Noel for coming on board with us and organising such a fantastic successful Tractor Run.
Massive thanks also to Mark MMT Builders for all his support. Fethard truly is blessed to have such a fantastic community who are so willing to get involved and help us.
We have ye roped in now lads ….there is no escaping 😊😊

The new community cafe is still a work in progress but we are getting there and are really looking forward to January when we open the doors and offer this fantastic facility to Fethard Community. As promised here’s a sneak preview 😃 If you have a few hours to spare and would like to get involved in the community cafe just drop us a PM we wouid be delighted to have you onboard this new exciting community adventure with us! 🥰
