Hi FCC.
Our next competition is our *TRAVEL CHALLENGE* and it is in memory of our dear colleague and friend *Anne O'Sullivan* who was an incredibly enthusiastic member of our club and a wonderful photographer who had proudly achieved her *LIPF* while a member of FCC.
Anne was an avid traveler and often treatred us to wonderful slideshows of our fabulous adventures all over the world.
Anne passed away in June 2018 and we miss her dearly and the *Anne O'Sullivan Memorial cup* is a lovely way for us to get together and celebrate her memory. A strong entry and a good attendance on the night would be much appreciated.

Date: Tuesday Oct 27th. @ 8pm.
Theme: TRAVEL
Closing date for digital entries: Friday night Oct 23rd.
Venue: Fermoy Community Youth Centre

Thank you all in advance.

A wonderful evening celebrating the Clare Murphy Memorial competition at Fermoy Camera Club - FCC tonight. The Murphy family were warmly welcomed by Chair Catherine Sheehan & competition coordinator George O Keefe. Sean Murphy spoke fondly of his mother s love of nature & wildlife and being part of FCC helped develop her talent & interest even more. She loved her walks along Barnane so it was a beautiful image of sunset over the Blackwater taken by Deirdre Casolani who took home the trophy. A delighted Deirdre was emotional as she accepted the cup from John Murphy remembering many days in Clare s company strolling down Barnane with their cameras.
2nd Place Catherine Sheehan ,
3rd Place a delighted Eimear Cahill, granddaughter of Clare & John.
Congratulations to you all & all who entered the competition. Thanks to George for the pics.
Happy Birthday to Katie Simmons our competitions secretary !!

This is our August Collection (Display 8) from our A Photo By Friday project. It is very encouraging to see there is such a great interest in this project.
It was great to see them all projected at our meeting last night where we made plenty of time to discuss and enjoy them.
Well done and thank you for your ongoing support and contributions to this project.
Keep them coming to; [email protected]

Fabulous evening outing to Corrin Nature Reserve on Tuesday 18 th of August. As the heatwave subsides and there's a little moisture in the air we ve had 2 great photo opportunities near home as Doneraile Park was the venue for last Sunday s excursion.. Looking forward to the next adventure. Well done Sinéad Hickey for organising.
