Last night our brave beavers camped under a full moon at our wonderful neighbours Hometree in Deerpark west. We set up camp and explored the beautiful native woodlands, meeting local wildlife along the way. We then toasted marshmallows and sang songs around the campfire before settling down for sleep. We love our neighbourhood and are inspired by the important work being carried out by Hometree. Thank you !!!

Our amazing cubs took part in this weekends Cubs County Challenge at Ruan campsite. Having put in lots of planning and practice both teams (Seaweed Soldiers and Ennistymon Eels) brought it all together on the field, building an impressive camp consisting of a gateway, boundary, tents and fire safety point without any adult assistance. They built kitchens and prepared delicious and nutricious meals, all within the theme of Ocean Adventures. New friends were made and lots of fun was had. Thanks so much to the the scouters and parents who helped along the way, and to the event organisers who made this happen, and best of luck to the wonderful teams who will proceed to the National Cub Challenge!

Tonight we were delighted to present our longest serving scouter Gunilla, with the Scouting Service Award for 20 years with Ennistymon Scouts. Group Leader presented a certificate of appreciation along with an ash pin to adorn her scout uniform. Gunilla has served as section leads, Group leader and is our current treasurer. She has also been a mentor and coach to fellow scouters, and a hugely positive influence on youth members throughout the years. Our group simply would not be in the strong position it holds today without her dedication, enthusiasm and long term commitment. Thank you Gunilla! We love you!

Our amazing Beavers had a brilliant outing in Killaloe yesterday, in beautiful weather with super views, engaging activities (shelter building, compass skills, communication and trust games, fire lighting), and a nice lunch in nature. It was great fun for all and we were blessed with the weather ☀️ thanks to the organisers

Food, glorious food!!! Today a team of our cubs took part in Clare Scouts Masterchef at Tulla Scouts den. They prepared a delicious spaghetti bolognaise followed by an exquisite eton mess, and earned 4 stars for their brilliant efforts. They also won the ‘best teamwork’ accolade! Thanks to the organisers, and well done to all cubs who took part! Tummys filled and memories made!

Thank you to everyone who joined us to celebrate Oiche na hOige last night. We pulled up the Den door and welcomed in so many amazing folks from the neighbourhood of North Clare and beyond. Rafts were build, knots tied and gadgets engineered with great enthusiasm and delight. A mighty campfire burned bright and 50 delicious smores were roasted and devoured. Thank you to our wonderful scouting families for supporting. Thank you to our dedicated scouters who put so much time and effort into planning, preparing and delivering our scouting programme. And most of all, thank you to our amazing young scouts who inspired and surprise in so many ways. This event couldn’t have happened without the generosity of
