This engaging hands-on Invertebrate Biodiversity Workshop is part of the Citizen Science Training Series 2025–2026 in partnership with Clare Local Development Company.

Do you have what it takes to be Queen of the Castle?

Mark your calendars the International Queen of the Castle Festival is returning to Cahir, Co. Tipperary for its third year on the August Bank Holiday weekend 2026. The festival is organised by Rathkeevin Macra.

The festival will see Queens representing Macra regions all over the country and International countries descend on Cahir Town for the weekend in a bid to woo our judges and be crowned the 2026 Queen of the Castle.

The weekend promised to be jam packed with music, entertainment, wellness and culture and even bigger and better than before. This year we will also be inviting Escorts to take part.

So do you have what it takes to be crowned our next Queen of the Castle? Titles nights are taking part all over the country to select each region’s contestant so get in touch with your nearest club or region to find out more details.

Macra’s National Conference will take place on the 25th of October at our National Rally hosted by Carbery Macra 👏

Our title of this year’s conference is “Fields of Opportunity” where we will be showcasing the best of rural Ireland.

Speakers will be announced on the lead up to the event. 🗣️
