It's Thyme Out Friday! 🌿 Two brand new Horticulture Workshops are landing at Enniscorthy Community Allotments on Friday 11th September.

Join Community Education Tutor Louise Murphy (WWETB) for a hands-on morning of growing, connecting and learning together in the allotments. 🌱

We're running two small groups so there's plenty of one-to-one attention:

🕤 GP1: 9:30–11:30am (10 spaces)
🕦 GP2: 11:30am–1:30pm (10 spaces)

What a morning 💗 The Very Pink Party was a huge success!

So many of you came out to the allotments this morning to help us fill the garden with pink, and what a turnout it was. We had pink lemonade, pink cakes and sweets, face painting, and a plant sale bursting with pink flowers.

Our charity raffle was a huge hit too, with brilliant prizes kindly donated by local businesses who backed this fundraiser: Smyth's, Beechdale, Tommy Williamson, Bolgers, and Meraki Restaurant. Thank you all for your generosity 💗

Together, we raised an incredible €1,082 for Breast Cancer Ireland.

Thank you to everyone who came along, donated, or shared the word. Mornings like this are what community is all about 🌸

This Sunday, we're turning the garden pink for a very good cause 💗

Join us this Sunday 16th August, 11am–1pm at Enniscorthy Community Allotments for The Very Pink Party, an afternoon in the garden raising funds for BreastCancerIreland

There's a fantastic raffle on the day, with prizes including:

We tried to out-stubborn nature and grow our own mushrooms 🍄

That was the challenge at our latest workshop with tutor Peter Canning: 4 weekly sessions, 2 hours each. We built compost from scratch, controlled a mini-polytunnel by hand (watering it on hot days, blanketing it at night), and spent weeks chasing the exact humidity and CO2 balance mushrooms actually want.

It felt like working against the elements the whole way. But we got our first pins, and then a mushroom, and that small win made every fiddly adjustment worth it 🌱

🌿 Ever wondered if nature could help you heal? This August, we're about to find out.

Starting Friday 7th August, we're running a brand new Nature Therapy course with the wonderful Dee, looking at how we can turn to nature for a bit of healing. Four Friday evenings, 7pm to 9pm, right here at the allotments.

Whether you're new to us or a familiar face, this is a chance to slow down, breathe, and reconnect after a long week. No experience needed, just come as you are 🌱

Spaces are limited to just 10 people, so don't sit on this one. Can't make August? The same course runs again from Friday 4th September.
