🎥 A community space with new energy in Clonlara.

Clonlara Community Centre is becoming a more active and welcoming place for people across the parish, with 13 12 Brew Café and Full Circle Coaching now operating from the centre.

Supported through Clare Local Development Company’s LEADER Programme, the project shows what can happen when an underused community facility is developed with a clear local vision: a place for wellbeing, connection, enterprise and everyday community life.

A major new chapter for Shannon Aviation Museum ✈️

Clare Local Development Company was proud to support the opening of the museum’s new wing, dedicated to Eddie Ryan, and the unveiling of the Irish Air Corps Museum Collection in its new home.

The event also marked news that will secure the museum’s future for generations to come, with the purchase of its building and land after 18 years as tenants.

A fantastic asset for aviation heritage, STEM learning, tourism and young people across Clare and beyond.

Clare Local Development Company has supported the opening of a new wing at Shannon Aviation Museum, helping secure its future as an aviation heritage and education hub.

A new LEADER-supported visitor app is helping bring the rich history of Quin Abbey to life.

Launched officially by Mayor of Clare Cllr Alan O’Callaghan, the app offers an engaging audio-guided tour, graphics and information on 16 key features of this important heritage site.

CLDC was delighted to support the project through the LEADER Programme.

We were delighted to support the Discover Ukraine Fair 2026, a community celebration marking Ukraine's Independence Day. 🇺🇦🇮🇪

We’re hiring: Homework Support Project Tutor – Kilkee

Clare Local Development Company is seeking a part-time Homework Support Project Tutor to support children attending our Kilkee-based Afterschool Homework Support Project.

This role is for 6 hours per week and would suit someone with an understanding of the primary-school curriculum. Experience in teaching, childcare, classroom assistance, youth work or special-needs assistance would be an advantage.

The successful applicant will be committed to supporting children in an inclusive, welcoming environment. Garda Vetting will apply.
