Our New Directions Kerry crew had the time of their lives at their annual Summer Party!

The best part about events like this is that they combine the fun and freedom of a party with inclusion by building social environments where people can experience the world on their own terms. These events also play an important role in building confidence and encouraging active participation.

Our Kerry Community Services Manager Shauna got a big surprise on the day when she was presented with some lovely gifts to celebrate her birthday. 🎂

Huge thanks to the team at New Directions Kerry and everyone who contributed to such a great event and of course those who brought their moves to the dance floor. 🕺

Re-living the magic of Draíocht! 🪄▶️

Just over a month ago, we had the pleasure of welcoming President Catherine Connolly to mark the 1st birthday of our Galway Day Service, Draíocht.

Looking back on such a special day fills us with so much pride in everything this service represents; inclusion, independence, community and the achievements of the people we support.

As we continue to grow our across Galway and the wider country, we're constantly reminded of the power of possible, both for those we support and our local teams who always help bring the magic to life. That’s what makes working at Resilience not only rewarding, but also the best place in Ireland to grow your career in disability services. 💜

Our crew in Naas got all fired up to visit the local Naas Fire Station! 🚒🔥

They had a fantastic time meeting the firefighters, checking out the engines and equipment, and learning all about fire safety!

Experiences like this are so much more than a fun day out, they help build confidence, practical life skills, while building connections in the local community empowering active participation on terms that suit everyone's needs.

A huge thank you to the fantastic team at Naas Fire Station for making us feel so welcome! 💜

A major milestone this week as Sinead Butler marks 10 years as part of the Resilience Healthcare team!

With a career spanning 30 years across Health and Social Care, progressing from the frontline all the way to senior leadership, Sinead brings an extraordinary level of heart, expertise, and dedication to everything she does.

She has played an integral part in shaping our services, ensuring the people we support can experience the world on their terms.

Thank you, Sinead, for 10 incredible years of dedication, and for plenty of fun and laughs along the way. Here’s to the next chapter with Resilience Healthcare! 🥂✨

🏃‍♀️ From Mini Marathon to Mega Impact 👊

From taking on the Mayo Women's Mini Marathon to a brilliant bucket collection at SuperValu in Castlebar, the team at our Castlebar Day Service made a huge impact fundraising for Cancer Fund for Children and the final total is officially in!

The hub was delighted to welcome Rachel from Cancer Fund for Children for Children to present the cheque for an incredible €1,235.40! 🌟

The funds raised will go to the development of Daisy Lodge Mayo, a therapeutic short-break centre for children diagnosed with cancer and their families, which will be located on the beautiful shores of Lough Corrib near Cong, opening in Spring 2027.

Knowing that these fundraising efforts benefit something so close to home for the Castlebar hub and support families when they need it most, makes this achievement extra special. 💛

This cause really resonates with us as we understand the importance of delivering solutions with speed and care, turning complexity into possibility, because everyone should experience the world in a way that suits their needs.

The entire team at our Castlebar hub is immensely proud to contribute to our local community in such a meaningful way, and we owe a massive thank you to everyone locally who was so generous!

Forget about the World Cup! 🏆⚽

All the action was at Killavilla AFC last week in Roscrea, where our service users, colleagues, and families came together from across the country for our annual Football Fun Day! The atmosphere and team spirit on display could rival the world tournament.

It was a brilliant afternoon filled with activities, laughter and connection. Days like this are a reminder of why our teams love what they do; creating supportive environments, ensuring accessibility and inclusion, and allowing everyone to experience the world on their terms. And of course, bringing value to the community both within Resilience and the wider local communities.

It was a tense final that went all the way to penalties between Ennis Day Service and Resilience Family Kids team! A huge thank you to Killavilla AFC for once again generously allowing us to use their grounds. Events like this wouldn't be possible without a team effort, so a huge thank you to everyone who helped out, as well as those who traveled to be there and made the day so special.

We're looking forward to next year already! 🥇

We are thrilled and deeply honoured to have welcomed the President of Ireland, Catherine Connolly, to celebrate the first birthday of our Galway Day Centre, Draíocht! 🎈🪄

As a proud Galwegian and a longstanding champion of community and inclusion, President Connolly brought such warmth to the celebration by taking the time to meet with individuals supported, families, dedicated support teams and the wider community.

To mark the occasion, President Connolly officially unveiled the day service's new plaque with our CEO, Liz Reynolds. The plaque tells the story of Draíocht, a name that was chosen by those who attend the Galway day service, a name that perfectly reflects the sense of belonging, possibility and joy that can be felt here every day.

The afternoon was filled with music, dancing, creativity, and laughter, showing the true magic of the power of possible, where everyone is supported to explore, develop, and proudly celebrate their talents and experience the world on their own terms. It was a true testament to everything Draíocht has become over the past year.

A special thank you to our Advocacy Champion, Cian, whose words and Irish blessing captured the spirit of the day so perfectly:

"Go raibh sonas sna croíthe a thagann tríd an doras seo, misneach sna céimeanna a ghlacaimid le chéile, agus go mairfidh draíocht na háite seo i gcroí gach duine a bhíonnmar chuid di." 💜✨

📢 We asked. You answered. 📝💜

At the start of 2026, we sent out 177 surveys to the people we support attending our Day Services nationwide — and we were thrilled to receive 125 responses, giving us a fantastic 71% return rate! 🎉

🌈 Even more exciting? We saw improvements across every area this year showing that the changes we've been making are truly making a difference.

We're incredibly grateful to everyone who took the time to share their thoughts. Your feedback helps us grow, improve, and celebrate the great work happening every day across Resilience Healthcare. 💜

🚲 Pedalling forward together! 🚲

Some of our Cork residents took part in Try Cycling as part of Bike Week, in association with Cork Sports Partnership and with the brilliant support of Ruth from Wild Atlantic Sports Kinsale.

Every experience, every challenge, and every moment of joy matters. Watching the people we support embrace something new, push their own boundaries and feel the wind at their backs is exactly what it's all about – experiencing life on their terms. 🙌

A huge well done to each and every one who gave it a go. Nothing ventured, nothing gained! 🚲😊
