Camphill supports sustainable communities where volunteers share their lives with individuals who have learning difficulties or other mental health problems. It aims to provide richly fulfilling lives for community members, with everyone able to make their own contribution and develop their potential. It is a simple and powerful philosophy, and it is translated into actions which bring huge benefits to the individuals in the community. It is underpinned by tolerance, mutual respect, sharing and acceptance of people for what they are. CAMPHILL AND INCLUSION
In these days of expected integration, inclusion and innovation, Camphill has many initiatives to enable people with learning disabilities to be more involved and accepted by local communities.

πŸŽ‰πŸ§  A Fantastic Night at the Camphill Grangemockler Table Quiz! πŸ§ πŸŽ‰

What a wonderful evening we had at The Trap Bar Grangemockler, for our recent Camphill Grangemockler Table Quiz Fundraiser.

The community spirit on display throughout the night was truly heartwarming, with Community Members, staff, families, friends and members of the local community all coming together for an evening filled with fun, laughter and friendly competition.

Our specially created photo frames proved to be a huge hit, with plenty of memorable photographs captured throughout the evening. Guests also enjoyed a fantastic raffle with an incredible selection of prizes generously donated by local businesses, supporters and friends of Camphill Grangemockler.

Most importantly, the event provided a wonderful opportunity for people to come together, enjoy each other's company and support our community.

A sincere thank you to everyone who attended, purchased raffle tickets, donated prizes, helped organise the event and supported us in any way. Your kindness, generosity and community spirit are greatly appreciated and help make events like this possible.

Thank you also to the team at The Trap Bar for their hospitality and support.

We are incredibly grateful to everyone who helped make the evening such a success. πŸ’š

πŸ’š A Sincere Thank You from Camphill Communities of Ireland πŸ’š

On behalf of everyone at Camphill Communities of Ireland, we would like to extend our heartfelt thanks to Cars, Bikes and Coffee Monaghan for their incredibly generous support of Camphill Ballybay.

We are deeply grateful that Camphill Ballybay, one of our communities supporting people with disabilities through community living, meaningful work and social inclusion, was chosen as a beneficiary of this wonderful initiative.

The generosity and community spirit shown by Cars, Bikes and Coffee Monaghan helps make a real difference. Donations such as these support opportunities that enrich the lives of Community Members through activities, experiences, outings, personal development opportunities and the many moments that bring joy.

Just as importantly, events like this create opportunities for people to come together, build relationships and strengthen the connections that make our communities so special.

Thank you to everyone involved in organising the event, to those who attended, and to all who continue to support local charities and community organisations across Monaghan. Your kindness and generosity are genuinely appreciated.

πŸ’™ Happy Father's Day from all at Camphill Communities of Ireland

Today, we celebrate and honour all fathers, fathers-to-be, grandfathers, stepfathers, foster fathers, adoptive fathers, and all those who have taken on a fatherly role in the lives of others.

Fathers often support us in countless ways β€” through their guidance, encouragement, strength, humour, wisdom and unwavering presence. They help us navigate life's challenges, celebrate our successes and grow into the people we are meant to become.

Today, we also remember the fathers who are no longer walking beside us, but whose love, lessons and influence continue to live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved them.

To every father and father figure, thank you for the care, support and encouragement you provide each day. Your impact reaches far beyond what you may ever realise.

With gratitude and appreciation, we wish you a very Happy Father's Day from all at Camphill Communities of Ireland. πŸ’™

πŸŽ‰πŸŒΏ Celebrating Community, Commitment and Teamwork at Camphill Dunshane πŸŒΏπŸŽ‰

Yesterday, Camphill Dunshane opened its doors for a very special community celebration and Open Day, bringing together Community Members, Families, Staff, Volunteers, Board Members, Senior Management Team, Area Service Managers, colleagues from across Camphill Communities of Ireland and many friends of the community.

The day was never intended as a fundraiser. Instead, it was an opportunity to celebrate everything that makes Dunshane such a special place and to recognise the extraordinary dedication, resilience, commitment and teamwork shown by so many people over the past year.

Visitors enjoyed a wonderful afternoon of music, entertainment, delicious food, craft displays, conversation and community spirit. Most importantly, it provided an opportunity for people to come together, reconnect and celebrate the people at the heart of Camphill Dunshane.

We were delighted to welcome visitors from communities and services across the country, including those who travelled long distances to join the celebrations. The presence of Community Members, Staff, Families, Senior Management Team, Board Members and colleagues from throughout Camphill Communities of Ireland made the day particularly meaningful and reflected the strength of our wider Camphill family.

πŸ‘ The event was also an opportunity to acknowledge the incredible efforts of the Camphill Dunshane team. Through determination, professionalism, perseverance and an unwavering commitment to the people they support, Staff and Leadership have demonstrated what can be achieved when people work together with a shared purpose. We would also like to acknowledge the support and leadership of all those who contributed behind the scenes throughout the year.

πŸ’š Most importantly, we celebrate the Community Members who make Camphill Dunshane the vibrant, welcoming and inspiring community that it is. Yesterday was a reminder of the strength of community, the power of working together and the importance of taking time to celebrate achievements, friendships and shared success.

πŸ™ Thank you to everyone who attended, supported, volunteered and helped make the day such a memorable occasion.

🌿 A Place Where People Flourish 🌿

Nestled in the heart of Kilcullen, Camphill The Bridge Day Opportunities Hub is a truly special place where nature, community and opportunity come together.

From flourishing polytunnels and beautiful herbaceous gardens to social gardening, creative programmes, skills development and community participation, every day brings new opportunities for growth, learning and connection.

None of this would be possible without the incredible team who support people every day with dedication, kindness and passion.

Together with Team Leader Peter O'Connor, Regional Coordinator of the Northern Region DO Hubs SΓofra Sinnott, and Land & Social Enterprise Coordinator Gareth Lovett, they help create meaningful opportunities that empower people to live rich, fulfilling and independent lives.

A special mention must go to Olive Kavanagh, pictured in the polytunnel, who leads fantastic horticultural activities supporting people to learn how to grow vegetables, plants and flowers, develop gardening skills and experience the many benefits of working with nature. The thriving gardens and polytunnels are a testament to the dedication and enthusiasm she brings to the programme.

A huge thank you to this fantastic team for everything they do. Camphill The Bridge Day Opportunities Hub is a wonderful example of what happens when great people, beautiful surroundings and meaningful opportunities come together.
