Parents of children with Down syndrome have said that the Rotunda needs to examine the message it is giving parents after the master of the maternity hospital, Dr Fergal Malone, said that 95% of babies diagnosed with Down syndrome in Ireland were aborted.

WHITE CROSSES MEMORIAL HELD IN DUNGARVAN ‘TO REMEMBER BABIES ABORTED’.

A memorial for unborn children whose lives have been ended by abortion has heard that these lives should be remembered.

The annual memorial, which organisers say is held for the babies aborted in Ireland since repeal of the Eighth Amendment in 2018, took place in Dungarvan Town Park.

Vicky Wall of Every Life Counts addressed the event said that families who had been given a diagnosis of a life-limiting condition for their unborn child needed better support and information. “Our children need us to fight for them,” she said.

Becky Kealy of Aontú (Cork North West) said that pro-life people were needed in Dáil Éireann to fight for the right to life, but also for housing and education rights, as these are all connected. She said that, while the public voted to repeal the Eighth Amendment, they did not vote for the extreme abortion regime where we ended up with more than 20,000 abortions in the first three years.

Ms Kealy highlighted what she said were some “of the worst features of the abortion regime”, such as the absence of provision for foetal pain relief, and the failure to safeguard the rights of medics to conscientious objection, and said that women are “being kept in the dark about positive alternatives to abortion”.

She said that support for the pro-life cause among Irish voters was far greater than the media reported: that the referendum vote in 2018 showed that it was actually more than one out of three voters. “The growth of Aontú in Ireland, and the latest developments in America, are evidence that the abortion issue is far from settled,” Ms Kealy said.

Dr Ronan Cleary, Chairman of Doctors for Life, attended the rally with his two children, the youngest an eight-month old baby girl. “Doctors for Life is a non-profit advocacy group consisting of doctors and nurses who believe in the fundamental right to life of the unborn child and oppose any measures which seek to undermine the value and importance of the life inherent in all of us. We are advocates for life from conception until natural death”. Dr Cleary also read aloud the poem “Unto us..” by Spike Milligan.

Fr John McEneaney spoke of the need for prayers of reparation. He read aloud Psalm 139, which includes the lines “Truly you have formed my inmost being, You knit me in my mother’s womb, I give you thanks that I am fearfully, wonderfully made”. He concluded with the Lord’s Prayer and a blessing on all attending.

Déise4Life, who organised the memorial, commented: “This was a wonderful, quiet remembrance of the babies we have lost to abortion. The white crosses signify the innocence of the unborn, and the lack of respect for many of their remains, the many who do not get a proper burial or resting place. Also, we remember the anguish suffered by mothers and families, who feel that they have no hope or other alternatives. We thank sincerely all who spoke at the rally, and all who attended.”

You're Invited...DAY OF REMEMBRANCE

White Crosses Memorial Day: remembering the 22080 boys and girls aborted since Repeal

Each year since REPEAL, Déise4Life holds a short memorial service for boys and girls aborted since January 2019, when legalised abortion was introduced in Ireland.

The referendum to repeal the Eighth Amendment was held on 25th May 2018, and the memorial service is held on the Saturday closest to that date each year. This year the service is at 12 noon on Saturday 21st May. The venue is the Band Stand, Town Park, Dungarvan, Co Waterford.

White crosses will be erected to commemorate the aborted babies. There will be one or two short speeches from invited guest speakers, and a quiet period for prayer or reflection. Light refreshments will be served at the end. All local TD’s and county councillors have been invited to attend. All members of the public are welcome too.

According to IrishAbortionClock.com, by 9th May 2022 the estimated number of abortions here since 1st January 2019 is 22080. That figure is based on actual official data for 2019 and 2020 abortions, and estimated data for 2021 and 2022. About 126 babies a week on average, therefore, have been aborted here since our new abortion legislation came into effect. There have been many thousands more deaths from abortion than from Covid-19 in Ireland since 2019, but the abortion deaths are largely ignored by the news media and by the State.

The purpose of the Memorial Day is not to condemn those involved in abortions. These babies’ lives were as important as other people’s lives, and their deaths are as tragic as other people’s deaths. It should be a cause of national shame that we have allowed these deaths to happen, that we have even paid abortion providers handsomely to procure these deaths, but that is not the main point of the memorial day. The main point is to remember the babies.

We also remember the babies’ parents. An Irish politician infamously described abortion regret as “a makey-uppy thing”, but we in the pro-life movement know that is simply not true. We have attended pro-life rallies and heard women speak openly, and very movingly, about how having an abortion destroyed their lives.

Finally, the Memorial Day is an opportunity to remind ourselves, and others, that there are humane alternatives to abortion. We could, as a nation, have provided enough resources to help all women through crisis pregnancies, but we have been too lazy, too indifferent, to do so. The Memorial Day is an acknowledgement of this failure on our part, and an incentive to us all to do better from now on.

This proposed exclusion zone law is a sign of a weak government afraid of the truth about child abortion. It's being implemented to get even more abortion doctors involved in the money making abortion industry. Nothing to do with "protecting women".

Waterford Council It would be nice to see an expectant mother in your profiles to highlight the practice of aborting female children around the world. You could even invite a prolife advocate to talk about gender based violence in the womb?

Next Tuesday (8 March) Waterford Integration Services, Europe Direct, Waterford and Waterford City and County Libraries are coming together on to host Break the Bias – Waterford’s Third Global Women’s Conference a morning with an inspirational line-up of women. This event will take place in the Theatre Royal from 10:30am – 12noon.

Tickets are FREE and can be booked on the Waterford Europe Direct eventbrite page or you can call into your local library for more details.

Well done GRIPT,
for standing up to fake news from the Irish Labour Party and the pro abortion group, Together for Safety.
https://gript.ie/how-did-together-for-safety-know-when-abortions-were-taking-place-in-limerick/

In Ireland, there is a major legal and media push to implement exclusion zones around premises where abortion doctors carry out child abortions. Any future legislation will make criminals of any participants who hold peaceful vigils outside premises committing abortions.

Organisations such as Together for Safety, Abortion Rights Campaign, political parties such as Fine Gael, Labour, People before Profit, Green Party, Sinn Fein and Fianna Fáil all want exclusion zones around premises where abortions and performed.

These groups tell us that it’s to protect the rights of mothers. They tell us that prolife people who take part in prolife vigils intimidate and harass mothers entering abortion premises.
Their allegations against prolife people go unchallenged in the Dáil and in the mainstream, mostly pro abortion media.

However allegations by pro abortion politicians, media organisations and the reasons given to introduce legislation to ban prolife vigils near abortion premises do not stack up to scrutiny.

Back in September 2019, GRIPT.ie reported “The (Garda) Commissioner confirmed his “satisfaction with existing public order legislation to adequately deal with any reasonable public order incident that may arise at such centres. I re-confirm my views expressed at our recent meeting that protests to date at such centres have not contravened the law and are peaceful.”

There was “no evidence to suggest that there is threatening, abusive or insulting behaviour directed towards persons utilising those services,” the Commissioner added in his letter to the Minister for Health.

More recently in December 2021 Limerick Hospital joined the exclusion zone debate saying “The UL (University Hospital) Hospitals Group has said it is has not received any complaints from patients or their families or staff relating to safe access to University Maternity Hospital Limerick, despite a number of politicians calling for a “safe access zone” to be organised at the hospital claiming anti-abortion protestors have regularly been intimidating patients going in and out of the hospital throughout 2021 reported the Limerick Post.

Yet, for the first time in modern Irish history, a minority group will be banned from peaceful protest near the vicinity of abortion premises.
The minority pro-life community will be censored and criminalised. Imagine the backlash if the minority LGBT parades were targeted and banned.

State of Nebraska recognises the new, international Pro-Life Flag. ❤️❤️❤️

LINCOLN – Today, Acting Governor Mike Foley—with the full support of Governor Pete Ricketts—issued a proclamation officially recognizing a Pro-Life flag for Nebraska.

The proclamation acknowledges the state’s strong support of unborn life: “Nebraskans consistently and courageously take action to protect preborn life by volunteering at pregnancy centers, aiding expectant mothers, giving generously to young families, taking part in prayer walks and vigils, and displaying their support for life on signs along state highways.”

“Pro-life supporters have created a pro-life flag to celebrate babies and the mothers who nurture them,” reads the proclamation. “It features the footprint of a child encircled by a mother’s hands—set within two stripes to highlight the two lives present in pregnancy.”

“It is fitting and proper for Nebraskans to exercise their First Amendment rights to proclaim the human dignity of the unborn,” declares the proclamation.
