Every month, Cavan Brewer, a ninth grade military child, decides a theme to honor our Veterans across the United States. We are handing out the usual sanitary supplies, as well as cards and American flags for our Veterans. Cavan is asking that donations be new socks. Most of the men prefer tube socks, but no new socks will be turned away. The ladies differ in their taste. Some like the printed soc
ks while others prefer the tube socks. We also have amputees, so gifts for them would be wonderful, too. Suggestions include stuffed animals, cards, sugar free candy, deodorant, etc. In December, Cavan handed out Ty Beanie Babies, blankets, ornaments and cards to all of the Veterans, January included socks, cards, and our famous Sock Monkey for our double amputee. February Socks for Vets gave out socks, thousands of Valentine's, sugar free candy and hygenic supplies. Patricks Day party, full of sugar free goodies and lots of green. April we celebrated Easter with decorated eggs, sugar free bunnies, socks for everyone and lots of fun. Please consider helping achieve the goal of 350 pairs of socks and cards monthly!
