Wonderful afternoon, in great company yesterday when we joined St Josephs for their annual awards day. We had the pleasure of presenting Nigel from St.Josephs with a DG’s Certificate of Appreciation for their dedication and excellence in hosting the annual District 133 Lions Football competitions for u/13’s Boys & Girls. Earlier in the year the u/13’s Boys from St. Joseph’s were runners up in the competition. An amazing turnout at the club house & congratulations to everyone at the Club.

Garda Dog ‘Bouncer’ recently accompanied Kevin Street Gardaí on patrol around New Street Gardens and Bridgefoot Street Park.

Thanks to Bouncer's sharp nose, the team successfully tracked down and seized an estimated €1,600 worth of cannabis and co***ne, keeping those harmful substances off our streets.

In addition to this, several people were arrested on foot of bench warrants for drugs related offences and have been brought before the Criminal Courts of Justice.

Gardaí are carrying out an information leaflet drop to homes in the Dublin 8 area offering advice and contact details to those affected by Drug Related Intimidation.
