Mums Hub is live!

We are delighted to finally share our new website and digital hub, a practical space for mothers, families, employers and communities.

Mums Hub brings together local supports, resources, confidence-building opportunities and pathways towards education, training and employment. It was created to make it easier for mothers to find information, feel less alone, and take the next step in a way that works around real family life.

This website and digital hub were made possible through our crowdfunding campaign, with support from and everyone who backed, shared and believed in the project.

Thank you for helping us build something that can keep growing and supporting mothers beyond the campaign itself.

Just finished a lovely session in Hill Street đź’›

We had 15 parents join us for a conversation around employment, next steps, and different pathways back into work or education.

What stood out most was the level of engagement. There were so many thoughtful questions, and every parent’s situation was different, which really highlighted how important it is to have flexible, practical support that meets people where they are.

A clear need also came through today: many parents would like support with their CVs, so we are now looking at arranging a follow-up CV session.

This is exactly why these spaces matter. Sometimes one conversation opens the door to the next step.

Thank you so much to Hill Street for inviting me in, and to every parent who came, asked questions, shared, and took part đź’›

Today was beautiful đź’›

Our Mums Hub Career Pathways Session felt exactly as I hoped it would, relaxed, supportive, practical, and full of meaningful conversations.

Mums had one-to-one chats with our lovely coaches, from Clear Mind Coaching and Ciara from , exploring confidence, work, courses, and possible next steps from September.

also joined us and had steady conversations with mums throughout the morning about what home care work involves.

The room had such a calm, encouraging energy. Nothing felt rushed, nothing felt too formal, just real conversations, real possibilities, and mums being supported to think about what might come next.

Thank you so much to everyone who came, chatted, listened, supported, and helped make the morning what it was.

This is what Mums Hub is here for đź’›

We need to start with the gender employment gap.

Mothers cannot build pay, pensions, progression or financial independence if they cannot access suitable work in the first place.

This is not about saying mothers should or should not work full-time. We absolutely support mothers who want full-time employment.

This is about real choice.

And choice is not real when it is made out of desperation, lack of childcare, lack of flexible roles, or financial pressure.

For many mothers, the issue is not lack of ambition. It is wanting to work without being absent from their children’s everyday lives.

That is natural.
That is care.
That is parenting.

At Mums Hub, we believe care is infrastructure.

School-hours employment is not a small ask. It is a practical first step towards closing the gender employment gap.

Mothers should not have to choose between financial independence and being present for their children.

We can design work better than that.

Some meetings leave you feeling hopeful.

Today I had the pleasure of meeting Emanuela, founder of Lady Cab, in the beautiful Atrium Lounge at College Green Hotel. The atmosphere was wonderfully relaxing, and it was the perfect setting for a conversation about new ideas, possibilities, and change.

Emanuela is an incredible woman who is not just talking about change, but actively building new paths where the old ways no longer work.

There is something very powerful about women who see a gap, understand why it matters, and decide to create something better.

At Mums Hub, we believe that flexible, realistic pathways back into work are not a luxury. They are necessary. They are important. And they are long overdue.

I am so grateful for conversations with women like Emanuela, who understand this deeply and who are brave enough to reimagine how things can be done.

Excited for what may grow from this.

Today was a very special day for Mums Hub.

We were honoured to visit Dáil Éireann and spend the morning with and . Thank you both so much for such a warm, welcoming, educational and genuinely enjoyable visit.

Gary was a brilliant tour guide, funny, real, generous with his time, and so open in sharing the history, the work, and the meaning of the place with us. We loved every second of it.

Mums Hub is not politically affiliated with any political party. We are issue-focused, mother-focused and solution-focused.

But when people listen, engage, support and create space for mothers’ voices, we believe it is important to acknowledge that.

We are deeply grateful to Gary Gannon, Daniel Ennis and for the support they have shown, for helping to share our message around school-hour work, and for continuing to raise awareness of the issues affecting women, mothers and families.

At Mums Hub, we support mothers into confidence, upskilling, employment and financial independence. We advocate for school-hour and flexible work, and build relationships with employers creating roles that work better for family life.

We were also delighted to have Fiona from with us today. Her work matching carers into part-time roles is closely connected to our mission: practical employment pathways that recognise caring responsibilities.

We are not here just to talk about problems. We are here to bring solutions.

Mothers want to work. Mothers want to contribute. Mothers want financial independence and dignity. But too many are pushed out of employment by systems that do not fit the reality of family life.

Care is infrastructure. Care is a shared responsibility. And mothers’ voices belong in the rooms where decisions are made.

Thank you again to Gary and Daniel for an amazing morning, and to Holly for the continued leadership and support shown to mothers and families.

We also want to wish Daniel the very best of luck in the coming election. 🍀

A day we will not forget.
