Again, the goal for this process is to get the best deal (quality, support and experience) in the market by acting as a group instead of individuals. Ultimately it will ensure the area is in a more resilient position with our energy supply - in particular in these times of uncertainty and rising costs.

What a great night we had last Wednesday at our FIRST community meitheal event!!! We had over 30 people in attendance and thank you so much to everyone that showed up. We'll be following up in the coming days so keep your eyes peeled on your emails. What a fantastic night at SEAI Sustainable Energy Communities event in Dublin City Council offices last night. Some truly inspiring tales - warts and all - from various SECs. Our own Hugo Thompson even took to the stage and relayed our journey to date. Brilliant to see what's going on around Dublin and meet some inspiring people. We can't wait for the next one!!

Could we possibly ever get here? I know Australia has significantly different weather to us but would FREE solar panels (never mind power) be something we could potentially dream of? Would be great to hear your thoughts.

Australia will offer at least three hours of free solar power every day to households including those without solar panels under an energy-saving programme that is expected to go live in 2026, energy minister Chris Bowen has said.
