ADHD, while it affects 5% of the population (or one in 20) is still very much a misunderstood condition. When identified and treated, ADHD is very manageable , however the rates for un-diagnosed ADHD in children, teenagers and adults is very high in Ireland. This talk will explain what ADHD is and what it is not and tips on how to manage the condition as a student in 3rd level education 🧑‍🎓

📢 Worth sharing for parents and family carers

Navigating supports can sometimes be difficult, particularly when you’re trying to understand what you may be entitled to and what information needs to be included in an application.

Family Carers Ireland are hosting an online information session on Domiciliary Care Allowance (DCA) with Edel McGinley.

The session will look at:

💜 Eligibility criteria
💜 The application process
💜 Supporting documentation
💜 Common challenges when applying
💜 Practical guidance on putting together an application

There will also be an opportunity to ask questions and get some clarity on the process.

Whether you’re considering applying for DCA, applying for the first time, or simply trying to better understand the process, this could be a really useful session.

Sometimes having the right information at the right time can make a real difference.
