Take Part in a Community Discussion on Biodiversity & Climate Action

We're happy to share this opportunity to take part in a research project looking at how local authorities can better support community action on biodiversity and climate change.

The project, funded by the Climate Change Advisory Council, is inviting members of community groups in Dublin City to join a focus group and share their experiences of working with Dublin City Council. The discussion will explore what's working well, the challenges communities face, and how local authorities can better support community-led biodiversity and climate action.

Event Details:

📅 Thursday, 27 August 2026
🕕 6:00 pm – 7:30 pm
📍 St. Andrew's Community Centre

The research is led by Dr Nicola Dempsey (School of Architecture and Landscape, University of Sheffield) and Dr Dean Phelan (UCD School of Geography).

If you're part of a community group working on biodiversity or climate action - or would like to get more involved - you can register by scanning the QR code or using the link below:

You truly do find all sorts when you're clearing out spaces here - and as our hall works continue, we are are continuing to find slices of history at every turn!

All of these pieces of artwork would have been created by the Rialto Variety Group way back when, and we made a point of including one of the larger backdrops in our Rialto Recounted event this month which was a real showstopper as you entered our hall.
