Blue Skies Initiative We are an innovative prevention and early intervention initiative funded for an area-based approach. Our lead agency is Archways.

Blue Skies Initiative are an Area Based Childhood initiative (ABC) funded to deliver evidence-based programmes in Clondalkin, Adamstown and Balgaddy for parents, children and professionals from pre-birth to teen years. Our aim is to improve outcomes for children and families in the
Clondalkin, Adamstown and Balgaddy areas. The Area Based Childhood (ABC) Programme is a national Prevention and Early Intervention (PEI) Programme funded by Department of Children, Disability, Equality and Integration (DCDEI), delivered through the Prevention Partnership and Family Support Programme (PPFS) within Tusla. Vision
We work towards a community where children, young people and families experiencing poverty and different types of disadvantage and exclusion, have the capacity to transform their lives through access to high quality support programmes. Mission
We provide sustainable area based early intervention and prevention supports, by developing and delivering evidence-based programmes and capacity building that support children, young people, families and the people who support them to realise their full potential

ABC Delivery Approach
ABC sites operate at three levels of change:

-Frontline delivery of PEI services for children and families that support early child development.
-Capacity building, facilitation, and support to service providers to implement evidence-based ways of working.
-System change with management and decision-makers at a local, regional and national level.
