St Patrick's Day gave us a great opportunity to recognise our Scouters who dedicate so much time and effort to developing our young people!

Congratulations to Hugh Grant on his Commendation of Merit, Rory Nevin on his Bronze Meritorius Award, and Rory Finnegan on his Bronze Meritorious Award, all from Scouting Ireland. ✨Hugh works in our Celt Cub Pack while Rory Nevin & Finnegan are both in our Scout section. We are so proud of them all and delighted they are in our Group.

We had a great morning with our annual parade, bake sale and Fiver Fry. We even had an ice cream truck giving out 99s to mark our 99th year of scouting ☘

Today was a big day for Rossa, Izzy and Molly (not pictured) who got their Chief Scout Awards and Bronze Gaisces today ✨

While we have had a number of Rover Awards, these young people are the first to earn their Scout Section Chief Scout Awards in the Group, done during their 3th Year of secondary school and final year of Scouts.

Rossa, Molly and Izzy helped in younger sections, upskilled themselves in key areas and ran a full urban camp for Ballinora Scout Group in order to fulfil this award.

We are so proud of them! ✊

Our Scout Senan is taking on the adventure of a lifetime this week as he travels to Iceland with his peers to take part in the Crean Challenge. They even switched on the Northern Lights for him!

Senan joins what is now a growing legacy of Donnybrook Scouts who have taken part in this amazing event as the 4th to go from our Group.
