Today our nurses, Rachelle and Jenny, welcomed members of the Conroy family, who presented a cheque for the incredible funds they raised through this year’s Vhi Women’s Mini Marathon 👏

Marcella, Nicola, Holly and Lauren raised a fantastic €3,644.49 in memory of their Dad, Joseph, and their Uncle, Derek 💙💙

We are extremely grateful to the entire Conroy family for their generosity, support and dedication. Thank you also to everyone who contributed and helped make this amazing fundraising achievement possible. Your kindness and support make a real difference.

🎉☕️ Thanks to all of YOU!

The annual event - Ireland's Biggest Coffee Morning for Hospice - raised over €2.1million in 2025 for nationwide, this means an astounding €48.8million has been raised since the event began in 1992.

The impact of these funds on St Francis Hospice has been incredible allowing us to continue to provide vital services, patient comforts and innovative care projects for our community.

Fundraised income is used by local hospice services to fund new buildings, refurbishment of existing buildings, staff, extra comforts for patients and their families, and innovative patient care projects nationwide. Funds raised through Together For Hospice campaigns support some of the core services funded by the HSE.

Whether you've always wanted to host a Coffee Morning or have been involved since the beginning - we would love to hear from you! All you need to do is register at https://www.sfh.ie/how-you-can-help-us/fundraising/join-a-hospice-fundraising-event/ or call 01-8327535 🧡

THANKS TO EACH AND EVERY ONE OF YOU FOR YOUR CONTINUED SUPPORT!

Our next Grief Café will take place on Friday 4th September from 10:00-11:30 am in St Francis Hospice Blanchardstown. This is a safe and supportive environment for people to connect over a cup of tea or coffee with others who are grieving. Pop in at any stage during that time for a cuppa and a chat.

Grieving can often feel isolating, but when you meet others going through a similar experience, it can help you feel more understood and less alone. The Social Work team and our bereavement volunteers will also be present at each café.

This is a free group for adults in our community who are grieving. To register, visit our web site and fill out the form, or contact the bereavement team at [email protected] or 01 8327535.

Our Walk and Talk bereavement group is free for adults in the community who are grieving. Members of our bereavement team will guide a walk in the fresh air, followed by a cuppa. It gives people a chance to talk to our bereavement team and other bereaved people who know what it is like living with grief.

Our next walk will take place on Tuesday 25th August at 10am. The meeting point is the entrance to the Red Stables. The walk will be followed by tea/coffee in Olive's Room Café.

The walk is suitable for most levels of mobility as it takes place on flat paths within the park. Please wear or bring suitable clothing to take part in the walk on the day, as the walk will go ahead in all-weather unless there is a weather warning.

Please register for the group on https://www.sfh.ie/for-patients-families/bereavement-care/bereavement-support-groups/ or by contacting the bereavement team on [email protected] or 01 832 7535.
