Francis Hospice provide specialist palliative care to people of North Dublin City and County. Our services are delivered from our hospices in Raheny and Blanchardstown. Based on a Christian philosophy, each person is treated with dignity, respect and compassion irrespective of their cultural or religious background.

We were delighted to welcome June and May to hospice where they presented a cheque for €1,900 which was raised at ‘May Shannon’s Annual Coffee Morning’.

May has been hosting a Coffee Morning for many years for the hospice and is thoroughly enjoyed by all who attend.

Our sincere thanks to May and to her family, friends and neighbours who support the Coffee Morning every year, their support and generosity is very much appreciated🧡

We were delighted to welcome Suzanne and Kevin Kane to the hospice, where they presented a cheque for €12,787, raised at the 2026 Annual Alfie Kane Golf Classic in aid of the hospice.

An event like this requires huge dedication, and we would like to thank Suzanne and Kevin who have been organising this event for the past twenty three years in memory of Kevin’s Dad, Alfie 💙

We would also like to thank Skerries Golf Club, who host the event every year, the members, club staff, every golfer and sponsors who contributed to making the day such a resounding success.

After a very popular Craft and Christmas Fair in 2025, we are delighted to announce that the Malahide Lions Club Craft and Christmas Fair will take place once again on the 22nd November, in aid of the hospice.

Preparations are well under and they are currently looking for crafters to donate, sewing, knitting painting or any other craft.

Our volunteers are in Swords Pavilions today selling tickets for the Annual Hospice Car Draw.

Our Walk and Talk bereavement group is free for adults in the community who are grieving. Members of our bereavement team will guide a walk in the fresh air, followed by a cuppa. It gives people a chance to talk to our bereavement team and other bereaved people who know what it is like living with grief.

Our next walk will take place on Tuesday 27th October at 10am. The meeting point is the entrance to the Red Stables. The walk will be followed by tea/coffee in Olive's Room Café.

The walk is suitable for most levels of mobility as it takes place on flat paths within the park. Please wear or bring suitable clothing to take part in the walk on the day, as the walk will go ahead in all-weather unless there is a weather warning.
