Every woman running for in the Vhi Women's Mini Marathon is carrying more than a race number, she’s carrying a story 💜

We are so deeply grateful for every woman lacing up her runners for the . They’ve put in the miles, made time between work, family and life, and now all that’s left is to show up on the day and give it their all🏃‍♀️✨

Many are running because kidney disease has touched their own lives or the life of someone they love. Their steps help fund the IKA’s counselling, patient support, holidays, advocacy and support services for kidney patients and their families across Ireland.

If you’re able, they would really value your support. Every donation, big or small, helps us make life a little more comfortable for those living with kidney disease.

Great work everyone. These activities definitely make a difference and it was a very worthwhile endeavour across the country last week. Well done to all involved and to the IKA Staff.

Blood pressure control very important for kidney patients and everyone

Irish Kidney Association National Chairperson Liz Osullivan on Organ Donor Awareness duty today with her sister Brid O'Sullivan at Citywest Shopping Center. Our message being well received by the shoppers here and as always balloons going down very well with the kids.

At Tallaght University Hospital this morning promoting Organ Donor Awareness to patients and staff were Donal Murphy and his wife Joan, Ruth Geraghty Byrne and Oonagh Smith, TUH Dietician. Great engagement with those we spoke with.

Transplant recipients especially at risk for infections. Hand hygiene is very important to minimise risk of infection.
Thanks TUH for highlighting this.

A lack of in health care can cause infections, avoidable treatment and even death.
Clean hands at the right times in health care saves lives.
