📢 Science Gallery Monterrey is calling for proposals for "Brave New Future", their inaugural exhibition that will open in September 2024!

They invite artists, researchers, activists, and students to submit existing artworks in any medium and research projects that engage with both artistic and scientific modes of creation and that open up provocative discussions about how to think about the future and what it might look like.

Science Gallery Monterrey is the new platform of Tecnológico de Monterrey, which will be housed in the Expedition Building, part of Tec's emerging Innovation District. As a member of the Science Gallery Network, they will create exhibitions and participatory experiences designed by and for young adults that blend art, science and technology, providing a place for lively conversations about society's most pressing challenges.

When was the last time you explored your local neighbourhood? 🗺️🔍

During The Global Science Gallery Network’s HOT AND BOTHERED, join theatre-makers Amie Taylor and Jennifer Lunn to go on a physical scavenger hunt of your local area based on the 20-minute neighbourhood model, which looks at how residents of a neighbourhood can meet most of their daily needs without travelling by car or public transport, and then return online to share your findings with a global community.

In the workshop Anxiety to Agency, Science Gallery Atlanta and Emory University Professor Eri Saikawa will offer young people the space to acknowledge their climate anxieties and cultivate tangible solutions to transform our anxieties into agency.

HOT AND BOTHERED is a free online event from 14-17th July across time zones that aims to create a hopeful and joyful space where young people can become change agents to reduce climate doom and generate alternative narratives.

The programme features workshops, performances, games and discussions led by young people selected through an open call, and contributions from all the galleries across the network. You'll find scientists, students, activists, designers, artists, and more.
