3kgs - Sandycove … all female crew today 🩷 and there were lots of bits , nothing too crazy… and it wouldn’t be a cleanup in Sandycove if ‘men’s pants’ 🩲 didn’t make an appearance 😂… also the cutest mini ‘croc’ shoe, yet another ridiculous piece from McDonalds Happy Meal 🍔 🤯… but the most common find on the beach were the lions mane jellyfish 🪼 this was only a small collection that we snapped! To all the swimmers reading this … good luck for your next swim 😉

How great are they to collect these items instead of saying they’re too big to take!!! 💪

20.5kgs - Sandymount Beach - we had a lovely community cleanup with a great mini team that came from the inner city… and they were delighted with the retro Mr Tayto crisp packet they found in the rocks… we have now found over 50 this year!! 🤩 It’s always great to work with the volunteer centres around the country, so thanks to Dublin City Volunteer Centre for contacting us! 🩷

32kgs - Seapoint Beach - we had a fab crew on another hot day! The majority of the weight was the giant breeze block left over from building works during the winter…otherwise it was all people pollution and jellyfish 🪼… we are also finding so many cheap sunglasses 🕶️ on all our cleanups at the moment…totally a sign of how this summer has gone 😉

Incase anyone is as fascinated by jellyfish as me here’s a little video on how jellyfish reproduce! Like clownfish they change genders and like sea slugs they have one whole for everything which I think is really cool! If anyone wants a video on exactly where their Manus is let me know and I’ll happily post some photos 😉 thank you so much for letting me use 2 of his compass jellyfish videos where you can clearly see it’s Manus (scientific word for jellyfish mouth a anus😂 not very creative)

One last thing before we wrap up for 😉…we thought you’d like to know the stand out moments….there were of course many, but we wanted to pay homage to these amazing groups. 🤩 🙌 🙏🤩
id_official - not only cleaned over 5 tonnes from Citarum River - the cleanup was primarily nappies/diapers 🤢
adventure found an Echo Sounder…definitely a first for us 😉
