A huge thank you to Fiona from Snugz HQ for visiting Hugh's House today and bringing a wonderful donation of Snugz books and cosy blankets for some of the siblings staying with us whose brothers and sisters are currently in hospital.

When a child is receiving medical treatment, brothers and sisters can often feel overlooked during what is a very challenging time for the whole family. These thoughtful gifts will provide comfort, reassurance, and a little bit of magic for siblings staying at Hugh's House.

We are incredibly grateful for Fiona's kindness and generosity. The beautiful Snugz books help children understand and express their emotions, while the blankets will provide warmth and comfort when it's needed most.

Thank you, Fiona and everyone at Snugz, for helping us make Hugh's House feel even more like a home away from home for families facing difficult circumstances.

Hugh’s House is delighted to announce Rosie & Jim as our newest charity partner!
We are incredibly grateful to the wonderful team at Rosie & Jim for choosing to support Hugh's House and the families who stay with us each year.

About Rosie and Jim:
Rosie & Jim is an Irish family-owned food company founded in 1997 by Jimmy and Rosie McLoughlin. Based in Dublin 12, the company specializes in premium chicken products, particularly its award-winning gluten-free range. All products are manufactured in its Dublin facility, with a strong emphasis on quality, innovation, and natural ingredients.

Rosie & Jim recently visited Hugh's House to learn more about our work and meet some of the team. It was a pleasure to share our mission of providing a warm, welcoming "home away from home" for families travelling to Dublin while their children attend vital medical appointments, treatments, and support services.

Every day, families from across Ireland face long journeys and challenging circumstances as they access care at CHI Temple Street, The Rotunda, Holles Street, and The Coombe Hospitals. Having a safe and supportive place to stay during these times can ease some of the stress and allow families to focus on what matters most – their child.

We are honoured that Rosie & Jim have chosen to partner with us and support our work. Their generosity and commitment will help us continue providing comfort, care, and accommodation to families when they need it most.

A huge thank you to the wonderful team from Monument Insurance who visited Hugh's House last Tuesday and generously gave their time to help improve our house.

The team rolled up their sleeves and transformed the patio area at No. 44, leaving it looking clean, tidy, and welcoming for the families who stay with us.

Corporate volunteer days like this make a real difference to our charity, helping us create a comfortable and caring environment for families supporting a child with a serious illness.

We are absolutely blown away by the generosity of the Harty family, who have raised an amazing €11,000 for Hugh’s House in celebration of Luke’s first birthday.

After spending almost seven months in Dublin while Luke underwent life-changing treatment and two major brain surgeries, Hugh’s House became a place of comfort, calm, and support for the family during one of the most difficult times of their lives.

Now, as Luke celebrates his first birthday and a future full of hope, the Harty family have chosen to give back to the place that gave them so much.

Their extraordinary fundraising effort will help ensure that other families facing their darkest days can find the same refuge, care, and support when they need it most.

From all of us at Hugh’s House, thank you, Harty family, for your courage and generosity, and for turning your journey into hope for others.
