68 YEARS YOUNG. 3,000+ MILES. 35 DAYS. TWO INCREDIBLE CHARITIES.

On 19th September, 68-year-old Kelly from West Clare will take on an incredible challenge, cycling over 3,000 miles across America, from San Diego, California to St. Augustine, Florida, in just 35 days!

Paddy is taking on this mammoth journey to raise vital funds for two amazing charities: and @.

Every cent raised will go directly to these charities, helping to support people in Clare affected by cancer and families of seriously ill children who need a safe, supportive place to stay close to their child’s hospital in Dublin.

At Hugh’s House, we are incredibly grateful to Paddy for choosing to support the families we care for. What an amazing challenge and an incredible way to make a difference!

IT’S GOLF DAY!

Today’s the day! The Sensori Golf Classic in aid of Hugh’s House tees off at Rathfarnham Golf Club, Dublin, with the event getting underway from 9.30am!

We’re incredibly excited to welcome golfers, supporters, the amazing team at Sensori, and everyone who has helped make today possible.

Every swing, every putt and every contribution today will help Hugh’s House provide free accommodation for families whose seriously ill children are receiving treatment in Dublin hospitals.

A huge thank you to everyone taking part, sponsoring, volunteering and supporting the event. Your generosity makes a real difference to families when they need it most.

We are delighted to continue our partnership with Sensori in 2026, working together to support families who have a seriously ill child receiving treatment in Dublin. Sensori’s commitment as our Charity Partner is helping Hugh’s House provide a safe, comfortable home away from home, completely free of charge, for families when they need it most. Through fundraising, volunteering, practical support and raising awareness, Sensori is making a real difference to families from across Ireland. We are incredibly grateful for Sensori’s continued commitment to Hugh’s House and for helping us ensure that no family has to face their child’s hospital journey alone.

A Huge Thank You to Hilti Ireland

Today we were delighted to welcome the fantastic team from Hilti Ireland to Hugh’s House for a volunteering day. Their hard work, positivity, and willingness to get stuck in has helped us get the house looking absolutely gorgeous for the families who stay with us.

From cleaning and tidying to helping with those important jobs that make such a difference, their support will help create an even warmer and more welcoming home away from home for families with seriously ill children receiving treatment in Dublin hospitals.

To everyone who gave up their time to support Hugh’s House today, thank you. Your kindness, teamwork, and community spirit mean so much to us and to the families who rely on Hugh’s House every day.

Hugh’s House is delighted to announce the Sensori & Hugh’s House Golf Classic, taking place at Rathfarnham Golf Club on Friday, 21st August 2026.

This special fundraising event will bring together golfers, businesses, and supporters from across Ireland for a memorable day of sport, community spirit, and generosity, with all proceeds supporting Hugh’s House, the Dublin-based charity that provides free accommodation for families whose children are seriously ill and receiving treatment in Dublin hospitals, including CHI Temple Street, the Rotunda, the Coombe, and the National Maternity Hospital, Holles Street.

For many families, having a child in hospital means long journeys, financial pressure, and emotional exhaustion. Hugh’s House offers a warm, safe, and supportive “home away from home”, allowing parents and family members to remain close to their child during some of the most challenging times of their lives.

The Sensori & Hugh’s House Golf Classic will take place at Rathfarnham Golf Club on Friday, 21st August 2026. The event will be played in a four-ball format, with shotgun starts at 9:00am and 1:00pm. The cost of entry is €500 per team, and businesses or individuals can also support the event through hole sponsorship for €250.

Hugh’s House and Sensori encouraged companies, golf societies, and individuals to get involved by entering a team, sponsoring a hole, or supporting the event in any way they could.

Speaking about the event, Robbie Donnelly, Fundraising & Marketing Administrator at Hugh’s House, said:

“Every team entered and every hole sponsored will help us continue providing free accommodation and practical support to families who need it most. Events like this are about more than golf, they are about keeping families close to their seriously ill children and reminding them that they are not facing these difficult days alone.”

Unfortunately, registration for the Sensori & Hugh’s House Golf Classic is now fully booked.

Hugh’s House is incredibly grateful for the overwhelming support shown for this event, and we look forward to welcoming all participating teams for what promises to be a fantastic day of golf, community spirit, and fundraising in aid of a very worthy cause.

Sometimes, the greatest kindness is one you'll never see.

The Mullally Family knows that kindness firsthand.

When they arrived at Hugh's House, they carried more than just overnight bags. They arrived with worry, fear and uncertainty, as their child received medical treatment in Dublin.

Thanks to the generosity of people they've never met, they found a warm bed, a welcoming home and the chance to stay close to the child who needed them most.
Like so many families, the Mullaly Family left asking the same question:

"How can we ever repay this?"

This week at Hugh's House, we're in need of new slippers for adults.

Many of the families who come through our doors arrive unexpectedly, focused entirely on their child's medical needs and often without everyday essentials. A comfortable pair of slippers can provide warmth, comfort, and a sense of home during an incredibly difficult time.
