Our Recycle Mobility Programme is a unique idea that focuses on promoting access to upcycled specially adapted trikes, for children who cannot use conventional bicycles. iPads for Schools
Variety Ireland is passionate about helping children who require additional supports with learning. We recognise the essential duties that every Special Needs Assistant carries out on a daily basis, in helping children with learning difficulties. By providing an iPad to every National School, we hope that we can help in some small way to make learning more accessible to some. By using upcycled iPads instead of brand new ones, we can limit the amount of carbon produced through manufacturing and international shipping.

๐Ÿšฒ๐Ÿ’™ WHAT A BUMPER WEEK FOR LOUTH DISABILITY CYCLING CLUB! ๐Ÿ’™๐Ÿšฒ

What an incredible week it has been for us all here at Louth Disability Cycling Club, bringing inclusive cycling for all abilities to schools, community groups and services across the region.

Throughout the week we were delighted to visit Rรฉalt na Mara NS, Bellurgan NS, St Josephโ€™s NS Carrickmacross and Magheracloone Community Centre, Co Monaghan.

Back at our LDCC Inclusivity Hub in Dundalk, we welcomed St Josephโ€™s NS Dundalk, Rushmere House and The Stables Ardee, respite service houses for their own inclusive cycling experiences.

At DKIT Sports, we hosted CBS Primary School, along with three groups from St John of God North East Services โ€” Venegas, Hilltop and the Darro Centre. We also held another fantastic Inclusion Hour, giving participants the opportunity to enjoy cycling in a welcoming and supportive environment.

And the week didnโ€™t stop there! At Ice House Hill Park in Dundalk, we hosted three groups from Praxis Care, as well as the Irish Wheelchair Association, for another brilliant session of inclusive cycling.

Schools, disability services, community groups and people of all abilities โ€” all brought together through cycling.

Weeks like this show exactly what LDCC is all about: breaking down barriers, creating opportunities and making cycling accessible, enjoyable and inclusive for everyone.

A massive THANK YOU to every participant, teacher, carer, support worker, volunteer and organisation who helped make this bumper week such a success.

Here's a just a small glimpse at some of the ๐…๐‘๐„๐„ ๐ˆ๐๐‚๐‹๐”๐’๐ˆ๐•๐„ ๐„๐•๐„๐๐“๐’ we have held over the past week. We've had events all across the country including: Donegal, Dublin, Mayo, Roscommon and Offaly. ๐ŸŒˆ ๐Ÿ‘จโ€๐Ÿ‘ฉโ€๐Ÿ‘งโ€๐Ÿ‘ฆ ๐Ÿšฒ โ™ฟ
