☀️ The Copper Coil: The Contraception You Can Pack Without Packing 👇🏻

Summer is a time for holidays ✈️, festivals 🎵 and making the most of longer days. But while you’re busy planning your adventures, have you thought about your contraception?
For many women, summer routines can make it easier to forget a pill or miss a prescription renewal. That’s why the copper coil (IUD) is a popular choice for women looking for reliable, long-term contraception that works quietly in the background.

Mood swings out of nowhere? 👀Struggling with brain fog that makes simple tasks feel impossible? Feeling like you’re constantly hot one minute and freezing the next?

💜 Your Monthly Reminder: Have You Booked Your Cervical Screening?

Life gets busy. Between work, family commitments, social plans and everything else on your to-do list, it’s easy to put your own health on the back burner.

That’s why we’re making this your monthly reminder: if you’ve received an invitation for cervical screening and haven’t booked yet, now is the perfect time.

🌸 What Is Cervical Screening?
Cervical screening is a simple test that checks for the presence of high-risk HPV (human papillomavirus), the virus responsible for most cases of cervical cancer.

The test helps identify changes before they become cancerous, making it one of the most effective ways to protect your health.

Why Is It So Important?
Cervical screening saves lives.
In most cases, cervical cancer develops slowly over time. Regular screening can detect early changes long before symptoms appear, allowing treatment to be offered if needed.

Many women feel perfectly healthy when they attend their appointment, which is exactly why screening is so important.

🔄 From PCOS to PMOS: Why the Name Change Matters for Women’s Health

A condition affecting around 1 in 8 women worldwide has officially been given a new name.

Polycystic O***y Syndrome (PCOS) is now known as Polyendocrine Metabolic Ovarian Syndrome (PMOS). This landmark change reflects a growing understanding that the condition is far more complex than its previous name suggested.

For years, women living with PCOS expressed frustration with a name that focused mainly on ovarian cysts — despite many women with the condition not having cysts at all.

Experts also felt the term failed to recognise the significant hormonal, metabolic, reproductive and psychological impacts linked to the condition.

The new name aims to better reflect the full-body nature of PMOS and improve awareness, diagnosis and support for millions of women worldwide. 💛

🩺 STI Testing: Why Regular *xualHealth Checks Matter
Many s*xually transmitted infections ( ) don’t show obvious symptoms, which means you can have an infection without even knowing it.

That’s why regular testing is one of the most important things you can do for your s*xual health. 💜
You should consider testing if:
✨ You’ve started a new relationship
✨ You’ve had unprotected s*x
✨ You’ve had multiple s*xual partners
✨ It’s simply been a while since your last check-up
Getting tested is quick and confidential, and it helps protect both you and your partners.

Remember: s*xual health is healthcare. There’s no shame in looking after yourself. 🌷
