We were delighted to be invited to a preview this morning of Breathe, the second exhibition to open at Humanarium in the Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland. Breathe explores how every breath we take is shaped by our health and the air we share. Visitors will discover the science of breathing, hear about the experiences of people living with respiratory conditions (including our own member Joe Claffey, pictured with Karen Halligan) and learn about the progress being made to help people breathe more easily.
The preview this morning was attended by Orla Comerford, double World Para Athletics Champion, European Record holder and Paralympic medallist who has lived with asthma since childhood & Sophie Becker, Irish Olympic sprinter and 400m runner who took control of her asthma to compete at the highest level.
'Breathe' officially launches at Humanarium, 118 St Stephens Green, Dublin, D02 X0N1 on Thursday 15th October. The free exhibition is open to the public from 7.30am to 5pm, Monday to Friday, and Saturdays from 10am to 3pm.
