I was honoured to play a small part for the Irish Motor Neurone Disease Association with their latest campaign to raise awareness and mark 40 years of incredible service to the MND community. Always nice to chat about some of the great memories my dad and I made throughout his journey. If I didn’t mention My New Dream went to No. 1, he would’ve killed me! 😄

Hi everyone, as many may remember, we put on a fundraiser concert for my dad last year “A Night For Roy Taylor” for which we had a GoFundMe page which so many of you so generously donated to. However, due to a technical issue, they had to refund all donations. You may have received an email regarding this.

Sincere apologies to everyone for this inconvenience and thanks so much for supporting the event. My dad was so thankful to you as was all of our family.

I was honoured to receive an incredible donation of €10,000 on behalf of Research Motor Neurone from the Fingal Helping Hand Fund at Fingal County Council this week. The donation commemorated my dad’s great work in raising MND awareness throughout his battle with his illness. A very proud moment for me personally.

Although my dad wasn’t by my side, I know he would’ve been very proud for us to receive this.

Special thanks to everyone at Fingal County Council and to all those who contributed to the Helping Hand Fund. Also to my dad’s best pal Marc Halligan without whom this would not have happened. Cheers Marc.

Thank you to everyone who attended our dad’s funeral yesterday at the church and online. It was the most beautiful send off he could’ve had. The love in the room was incredible.

Throughout his battle with MND he always kept his positivity shining and always had a smile no matter what. That’s just who he was and legacy he left us. We’ll keep the flag flying of positivity for you dad. You were incredible.

As the song goes “…you’ll find that life is still worth while, if you just smile.” ❤️

It is with deep sadness we wish to announce the passing of our dad and hero Roy Taylor. Through his infectious positivity over the last number of years he achieved so much in the fight against MND. His work has helped the world get closer to be free of MND. And for that we are bursting with pride. An amazing dad and amazing person and an amazing musician. To everyone who supported us, you all know who you are. We love you all and he loved you all. 💔

Thanks so much to everyone for coming to A Night For Roy Taylor on Saturday. It was an incredible evening. Huge thank you to all the top class entertainers, musicians, sound and lighting crew, Erin’s Isle staff, Tony O’Flaherty, Near FM, Angie Treacy with Masseys and Karen and Eugene.
