When someone you love is living with an acquired brain injury, you may find yourself navigating new challenges, including questions about work, training and what comes next. 💙

You don’t have to figure it all out on your own.

Join our Family Support Group information session, “On With Life: Supporting Family Members of a Loved One with an Acquired Brain Injury”, with Sara Prodoni, Adult Guidance Counsellor and Employment Facilitator at Acquired Brain Injury Ireland.

The session will explore support and opportunities for family members and loved ones who are currently working, considering a return to work, or interested in education and training.

💚 On With Life: Supporting Family Members of a Loved One with an Acquired Brain Injury

Join us for our Online Family Support Group on Wednesday, 21 October, from 7.30pm to 8.30pm, for an information session with Sara Prodoni, Adult Guidance Counsellor and Employment Facilitator with Acquired Brain Injury Ireland.

Sara will introduce the On With Life service, with a particular focus on the On With Training & Employment – Building Brighter Futures programme. The session will explore the supports available to family members who are considering returning to education, training or employment, exploring a career change, or looking for guidance on their next steps.

There will also be an opportunity to ask questions, share experiences and learn more about accessing the programme in a supportive and welcoming space.

Brain Tumour Ireland’s 𝐏𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐒𝐮𝐩𝐩𝐨𝐫𝐭 𝐆𝐫𝐨𝐮𝐩 is for people with a brain tumour – it seeks to facilitate peer to peer support.

Join us at our October Patient Support Group Meeting.

The group currently meets online on the second Wednesday of every month and is 𝐟𝐫𝐞𝐞 to attend.

The next meeting is on the 14th of October 2026.

💙 Reminder: Our Online Bereavement Group is tomorrow

If you have experienced the loss of a loved one to a brain tumour, you are welcome to join our online Bereavement Group tomorrow, Tuesday 22 September, 11am to 12.30pm.

Facilitated by bereavement specialist Bryan Nolan, the group provides a safe and compassionate space to connect with others in the brain tumour community who have experienced a similar loss.

The 90 minute session is guided by Bryan, with opportunities for participants to share, ask questions and support one another.

Ronnie Fehily Medal 2026 | Applications Open

In memory of Ronnie Fehily, whose family founded Brain Tumour Ireland in 2012 following her death from a brain tumour, the Ronnie Fehily Medal celebrates research that helps improve our understanding of brain and spinal tumours.

We warmly invite postgraduate MSc, MD and PhD students, and Medical and Surgical Trainees in Clinical Neuroscience Subspecialties to share their research through a clear and engaging Lay Abstract for a non-expert audience.

The winning abstract will receive the Ronnie Fehily Medal and will be presented at the RCSI Humanarian on Wednesday 4 November 2026.

Deadline: 5pm, 18 October 2026
