*** Community Superstar ***

Ronna Reily is a force to be reckoned with.

In April 2022 her mother Sinead was diagnosed with a life altering brain tumour. After three brain surgeries, multiple rounds of Chemotherapy and radiation she is still the most positive and selfless person Ronna knows.

On January 31st Ronna undertook the Rabbit Run in Antrim to rise awareness and bring light to such an important cause.

Ronna has raised over an incredible โ‚ฌ41,000!

In the hope that the money raised will help fund vital research and raise awareness.

Thank you for all you do Ronna!

If you have been diagnosed with cancer and have since returned to paid employment, you may be eligible to take part in a new research study exploring the experiences of cancer survivors returning to work.

The study involves a confidential, approximately 45-minute interview, either online or in person.

Your experiences could help improve understanding of the challenges, opportunities and support needs of people returning to work following cancer.

Swim for Lynne ๐Ÿ’™

What an incredible morning at Lough Owel for the Lynne Algar Memorial Swim.

Despite the blustery, choppy conditions, 75 adults took on the 2.6km swim, while around 40 children joined the 200m Splash & Dash.

There was an amazing turnout of family, friends and supporters cheering everyone on, making it a truly special event in memory of Lynne.

The funds raised will be donated to Brain Tumour Ireland, helping support the charityโ€™s vital work.

A huge thank you to everyone who took part, organised, supported and cheered from the shore. ๐Ÿ’™

And a special thank you to Lynneโ€™s parents, David and Angela, and everyone who helped bring this beautiful tribute to life.

A wonderful way to honour Lynneโ€™s love of the water and the people she inspired. ๐ŸŒŠ๐Ÿ’™

๐Ÿ’™ What an incredible achievement by James Murphy.

10 Years. 10k. 30 Days.

Marking 10 years since his first brain tumour surgery, James has taken on the challenge as a powerful reminder of the strength, resilience and determination shown by so many living with a brain tumour.

Every kilometre James runs, helps raise awareness and vital funds for Brain Tumour Ireland, supporting patients, families and life-changing research.

โ€œ In 2016 I was diagnosed with a Grade III brain tumour. I had surgery, chemotherapy and radiotherapy. For nearly nine years my scans were clear. In 2025 it came back. I had a second surgery and more chemotherapy. My most recent scan in April 2026 was clear โ€” and on August 9th Iโ€™ll find out if it still is.

Running 155 kilometres over 30 days feels like the right way to mark ten years of fighting this disease โ€” and to do something meaningful with the wait between now and that scan result.โ€

James, thank you for sharing your journey, inspiring so many, and making a real difference! ๐Ÿ’™

If youโ€™d like to support James and his fundraiser, every donation or share helps make an impact.

Some people quietly inspire everyone around them, and Caoimhe Bermingham is one of them. ๐Ÿ’™

Running in loving memory of her Auntie Eileen, Caoimhe has turned every mile into something meaningful. Her determination, generosity and commitment have already raised an incredible โ‚ฌ2,244!

Her fundraising journey has already seen her complete the Belfast Marathon in May 2025 and the Copenhagen Half Marathon in September 2025. But sheโ€™s far from finished!

In 2026, she has undertaken the TriAthy Olympic Triathlon in Kildare in May, with the Cardiff Half Marathon and the Valencia Half Marathon upcoming this October.

As if all of that wasnโ€™t enough, Caoimhe is also proudly representing Dublin as the Dublin Mary in the Mary from Dungloe Festival. We couldnโ€™t think of a better ambassador. dublinmary2026 Mary From Dungloe | Official

Caoimhe, we are so grateful for everything youโ€™re doing. Thank you for choosing to honour your Auntie Eileen in such a powerful way, and for putting your heart into every training session, every race and every fundraiser.

Show your support by sharing or donating what you can :

Last year, Phil Mylods life changed when he was diagnosed with a brain tumour and underwent surgery.

Throughout that journey, he became much more aware of the challenges faced by people living with brain tumours and by their families.

To say thank you and to help others going through similar experiences, Phil Mylod has decided to shave his head and raise funds for Beaumont Hospital Foundation and Brain Tumour Ireland.

Whether you can donate โ‚ฌ5 or โ‚ฌ50, every contribution makes a difference.

If youโ€™re unable to donate, sharing Philโ€™s story and our services with your friends and family would mean just as much.
