Parkinson's Ireland is a nationwide charity which aims to assist people with Parkinson’s, their families, carers & health professionals through support & information on any aspect of Parkinson’s. Participants Wanted for Parkinson’s Research

Researchers at UCD are inviting people living with Parkinson’s, along with adults without Parkinson’s, to take part in a study exploring breathing muscles in Parkinson’s disease.

The study involves a single 45 to 60 minute session with simple, safe breathing assessments. Appointments can take place at UCD or in your home if travel is difficult.

We are pleased to announce our Newly Diagnosed Programme for June 2026, designed to support individuals who are newly diagnosed and looking for guidance, information, and peer support.

This programme provides a welcoming and informative environment to help participants understand their diagnosis, explore coping strategies, and connect with others in a similar situation.

From June 12th to June 21st, Trevor and Mike will be taking on an incredible challenge as they go ‘Paddling for Parkinson’s’ to raise vital funds for the Midwest Branch of Parkinson’s Ireland 💙

Over 10 days, they will paddle the River Shannon from source to sea, facing the elements to support people living with Parkinson’s and their families.

We are delighted to welcome Dr. Owen Killian, who will present a talk on Advanced Therapies for Parkinson’s Disease, exploring current and emerging treatment options for motor symptoms in Parkinson’s.

The Wicklow Parkinson’s Choir is delighted to perform as part of the Festival of Voice at the National Concert Hall on Saturday 23 May at 3pm.

We would love to see members of the Parkinson’s community there, but everyone is welcome, so please bring family and friends along too. It promises to be a relaxed, uplifting and informative afternoon.

The National Concert Hall is fully accessible, with parking available on site.
