Speak up for children's futures and public health! Join Irish Doctors for the Environment, ourselves and other orgs & individuals on 📅 Wed 18th March, ⏲️ 1pm to 1:30pm outside the Dáil on Kildare St. We will be protesting the Government's reckless plans to expand Dublin airport by lifting the passenger cap - entailing way more climate pollution, when for a safe future, we know we must instead be slashing pollution. Please bring banners and signs if you can.
ℹ️ This protest will follow a morning of pre-legislative hearings on the📃 Dublin Airport (Passenger Capacity) Bill - a Bill that would enable the Minister for Transport (Darragh O'Brien) to remove the cap, in a centralisation of powers away from local authorities and An Coimisiún Pleanála.
We, Children's Rights Over Flights, will be testifying in these public pre-legislative hearings before the Joint Oireachtas Transport Committee. If you're interested in attending the hearings (from 9:45 to noon), please contact an elected official on the Transport Committee in advance.
