Thank you to everyone who travelled from near and far to attend our 40th Anniversary Convention at the Talbot Hotel Wexford from 1st–3rd May 2026. The entire weekend was a great success and a truly memorable occasion.

We would like to extend our sincere appreciation to our sponsors, Noonans Auctions, for their valued support and contribution to the event.

A special word of thanks also goes to Paul from WexWalks for leading the fascinating historical walking tour, which was enjoyed by all who took part. We are equally grateful to Dr Roger Willoughby and James Taylor for their excellent afternoon talks.

Thank you to all of our table holders and everyone who attended Sunday’s fair— without you, the fairs simply would not be possible. Congratulations to Cormac O'L, the winner of the €50 Talbot Collection Voucher.

We would also like to thank the management and staff of the Talbot Hotel Wexford for looking after us throughout the weekend.

We look forward to welcoming you all again to our future events.

Happy collecting!

As we celebrate 40 years of the Medal Society of Ireland, it is important to not only reflect on history, but to support those whose service forms part of that history. As part of the anniversary initiatives organised in 2026 a charitable donation has been made to Óglaigh Náisiúnta na hÉireann ONE Veterans Charity (Organisation of National Ex-Service Personnel), an organisation that provides real assistance to veterans and their families across Ireland. This presentation was made to Paul Clarke by Austin Fennessy, President of the Medal Society of Ireland, accompanied by MSOI committee member, Dave Buckley, both of whom are members of O.N.E., on Wednesday evening in McKee Barracks, Dublin.

This week, the current secretary of the society, Darrell, was proud to present Patrick Casey — former Secretary, former President, and long-standing member of the Medal Society of Ireland — with this special tribute in recognition of his outstanding contribution, dedication, and many years of service to the Society.

As we celebrate our 40th Anniversary, it is also a great honour to award Pat with Honorary Membership of the Medal Society of Ireland.

Pat’s commitment and service have played an invaluable role in the society’s history, and we sincerely thank him for his lasting legacy and support.

Congratulations, Pat, and thank you for everything you have done for the Medal Society of Ireland.
