Congratulations to all the speakers who took part in the first Leinster round of the Matheson Junior Debating National Mace on Saturday 27th September. We had over 140 participants which was a delight to have such amazing attendance

Thank you to TCD Phil, UCD L&H, UCD LawSoc and independents and fantastic senior judges for supporting the competition and helping us to provide an incredibly accomplished pool of judges. Thank you to our Chief Adjudicator Nicolas who did a fantastic job.
Congratulations to Clonkeen College, St. Joseph's College, Belvedere College and CUS for making the Final. After a brilliant final, Belvedere B (Cormac and Connor) emerged victorious with Harsh*t (Clonkeen A) dubbed Best Speaker. Congratulations to Harsh*t (Clonkeen A) for being our Top of the Tab and progressing to the Leinster Finals.
A special congratulations to all the first years who took part in their first debate, especially Sofia (Rosemont A) who was the highest ranked first year.
